Best thing to do during a long transfer
Highly recommend this tour for anyone who is interested in history and culture. Bill my tour guide is very kind and polite, patiently walked through with me and shared his knowledge. He organized pick up and drop off from my hotel, and everything else during the day. He is flexible and easy to communicate with. I’m glad I chose him to spend my transfer time in Shanghai.

Great way to spend the day. MUST!
Outstanding part of my Shanghai trip. It’s a hike from city center—and traffic can make this a pain, so you might consider a train/metro option—but the town itself was so cool. Casual small boat cruise to start and then walking around the area. Great restored garden. Lots of cool local shops. Great food. HIGHLY recommend

Really paying 500 Canadian dollars for not even the boat tour and no meal included, it's a rip-off

Excellent Tour With A Superb Guide
A really excellent tour of Zhujiajiao. Bill was a superb guide; informative, knowledgeable, friendly, excellent English, and very easy to get on with. I especially liked that he gave me plenty time to take in the atmosphere, take photographs, or visit shops, so that the tour progressed at my pace. I thoroughly enjoyed my private tour, and it more than matched my expectations.

not really a waterway adventure
this is a LONG way from Shanghai (over one hour) Garden was lovely. Town shops were very crowded gondola ride lasted about 10 minutes. not worth the trip.

Hi Elaine,thank you for your kind review.As stated in the tour description,the town is about 45km from downtown Shanghai,and the travel time is about 1 hour. The boat cruise lasts about 15-20minutes,it’s an experience for you to soak the atmosphere of “Venice of Shanghai”,it is not meant to be prolonged journey to go between places. As far as we can remember,the town was not crowded at all that day,as a matter of fact,most of the guests enjoyed the relative serenity of the town. Though we are in a city of 25 million,crowds here and there may be unavoidable. We are so glad that you enjoyed the garden,which is probably the MOST Beautiful Chinese garden in Shanghai. over priced
nice place to visit but over priced our guide bill was very good. good taxi going out but very bad going back,made me feel sick couldnt wait to get out
