Jumbe was our driver and he was AMAZING! one of the only ethical guides/drivers during the trip. At several points in masai mara, drivers were driving up too close to the animals or disturbing wildlife. I loved that Jumbe maintained distance and professional conduct at all times even if several cars were breaking rules. He also has an amazing sense and understanding of animals. We spotted so much wildlife and he always knew how long to wait for us to see something interesting. For example we saw a family of lions sleeping under a tree and he stopped the car at a distance for several minutes, we even told him to leave cos we got bored and within the next two minutes of our conversation with him, the whole family got up to go eat a wildebeast that was hunted earlier in the day. Insane instinct!!!! We got to see the lions move by very close to us coincidently cos they were crossing the path, and then we got to see the whole family feeding on the hunt. Amazing experience. Same with the wilderbeasts and their crossing at the Mara river. He somehow just knew how the wilderbeasts would behave and move back closer to the area that we were in, and we had to wait for a couple of hours, but he was right and we saw some of them cross the river. He answered allllll our questions (and i had a lot) and it was overall a wonderful experience, definitely value for money. I also went alone and joined two other couples, so you can definitely go solo and still have a great experience. Im gonna recommend him and Axis to everybody I know :)

We had an absolutely wonderful safari experience in Kenya with "Axis Africa safaris" From the beginning with Lucy, the company representative, who took such great care of us throughout the entire process. She was always available, made sure everything was confirmed and organized and kept us updated with all the necessary information. A huge part of our amazing experience was thanks to our amazing driver and guide, Richard! From the very beginning, Richard was professional, friendly, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable. Throughout the safari, he explained everything we saw in such an interesting way — from the animals and their behavior to the landscape, nature, and local environment. He was always happy to answer our questions and share his knowledge with us. Richard went above and beyond to make sure we had the best possible experience. He knew exactly where to go and made every effort to ensure that we saw all the animals we were hoping to see. Thanks to his experience, patience, and sharp eyes, we had some truly unforgettable wildlife encounters! We were traveling as a family with children, and Richard made everyone feel comfortable, safe, and involved throughout the entire trip. we would recommend him without hesitation to anyone planning a safari in Kenya.

I had an amazing experience with Axis Africa Expedition & Safaris from beginning to end. Everything was very well organized, starting with my first contacts with Jacklyne, who was always helpful, friendly, and professional. The hotel pick-up and the entire journey to Maasai Mara went smoothly, and it was clear that the company pays attention to every detail. The accommodation provided was excellent — comfortable, well located, and a perfect place to relax after a full day of safari. The meals were also very good and contributed to an overall great experience. However, I would like to give a very special mention to our guide and driver, Simba. He truly made the safari unforgettable. Besides being an excellent and very skilled driver, Simba was extremely friendly, patient, and always willing to answer our questions and share his knowledge. His knowledge of Maasai Mara and its wildlife was impressive. He has an incredible eye for spotting animals from very long distances, often noticing wildlife that we would never have seen on our own. His experience, enthusiasm, and understanding of animal behavior made every game drive exciting and educational. Having someone like Simba is incredibly valuable for a safari company. The landscapes and wildlife of Maasai Mara are already extraordinary, but the right guide can completely transform the experience. A knowledgeable, patient, and passionate professional like Simba turns a great safari into a truly memorable one. We had an absolutely amazing safari experience with Jack and Axis Africa Expeditions & Safaris. Even though we only spent two nights on safari, we managed to see everything we had hoped for and so much more. Jack went above and beyond throughout the entire trip to make sure we had the best possible experience. He is extremely knowledgeable, reliable, friendly and genuinely passionate about what he does. He always knew where to go and made every effort to find the animals we wanted to see, while also sharing lots of interesting information along the way. We never felt rushed and everything was very well organized from beginning to end. What really stood out was Jack’s personal commitment. He didn’t just do his job, he genuinely cared about making the safari special for us. Thanks to him, these two days became one of the highlights of our trip to Kenya. We travelled to the Maasai Mara with Axis safaris from 27/07 to the 29/07. We knew we had made the right choice as Tabitha answered each of our questions promptly. Our driver was Andrew who was fantastic! He would get us into good position every time there was an activity such as when we witness a Lion feeding on a Kill. We would fully recommend Axis Safari & thanks to them for making our Safari a truly special and memorable experience.

I had an incredible time on the three days Safari with our Guide, John Mwangi and Axis Africa Safari. I went to Kenya alone and booked the Safari on the day of my arrival. I was anxious and through trip advisor easily communicated with them on many details while planning and they rapidly answered my questions which were many They were flexible in picking me up so I did not have to get to city center for safety to meet the other 4 people. Everything was throughout the trip right on time. That afternoon we checked into a great clean park hotel and went to Masai Mara. Our guide, John Mwangi was exceptional . Amazingly that first afternoon in 3 hours we saw cheetah elephant lions giraffe wildebeest and much more. John clearly loves the Masai Mara and is an expert (and safe driver.) The next day was similarly full of magic and wonder and so much more including the evasive black rhino .

Really good trip. Good value and got to see so many animals including loads of lions, giraffes, wildebeest, cheetah, zebra, various antelopes and even a leopard which is super rare. Our guide, Jimmy, was absolutely fantastic. Amazing at finding animals, super knowledgeable and friendly, extremely hospitable, kind and maximises value for guests, going the extra mile. Highly recommend Axis and Jimmy in particular.

Great experience our guide brian was very nice

Our driver guide Brian Ondigo was a friendly face from the get go. He made our group very comfortable and was able to judge our needs even before we asked. He made sure we were always comfortable in the car. He also explained about the wildlife and the park to us. He was also very accommodating to all our requests. We will definitely recommend him as a great driver quide for all tourists. Good luck Brian
