A careful and thorough guided tour through the geography and history of port wine. Our guide was very knowledgeable as he is also working in the industry with his grandfather. We were taken to the cellars and shown the various wines stored there in the barrels and given an understanding of the aging and times and different qualities produced. At the conclusion we were given 3 wines to taste and were able to compare the taste and debt of the port. The environment was so beautiful and the tasting room was tasteful and beautiful. The experience was unhurried and relaxed . Out individual guide was so pleasant and spoke clear English. I loved it. The only negative point I want to make is Viator booked us with a French guided tour. I specifically wanted English and it looked as though that would be accommodated. However on arrival we were told the time we booked was only French . The receptionist however was apologetic and was able to get us in to next tour with an English guide and we only had to wait 30 min. I believe Viator is responsible for this error and should reassess their booking site. It was explained that it’s not the first instance of this. The tour outside this was Extremely well done.

Top experience! Well, quite far from the tourist region but definitely worth booking!

Outstanding experience, and very good vine.

The actual cellar tour was quite brief—probably around 20–30 minutes—with most of the time spent seated and tasting three different Port wines. The guide was very friendly and welcoming, but I personally felt there wasn’t a great deal to see or learn during the tour. I’m also not a big fan of Port wine, so that may have influenced my experience somewhat. I was travelling solo, but fortunately ended up sitting with a lovely group of girls during the tasting, which made the experience much more enjoyable 😊 Overall, it was a pleasant experience, but I wouldn’t particularly recommend this tour if you’re looking for a more immersive winery visit. There may be other wine tours around Porto that offer more in terms of the tour itself.

Excellent tour with a brilliant and enthusiastic guide. Loved the selections we were presented with for tasting - so we just had to make a purchase! Would definitely recommend 😊

The Portuguese lady that checked us in was king of rude . Our Italian lady that gave us our tour and wine tasting was very nice .

A very good time and a magnificent discovery. A lively tour, adapted to the audience (small in number of people). A top-notch guide, dynamic, interesting, and who provides plenty of additional information during the tasting. A very good tasting without too many people, allowing for conversation. I can only recommend it!! The wines and ports are very good, too bad it's hard to find them in downtown Porto.

Very quick review of the production and storage of port wines, it lasted 35 minutes and then tasting of the 3 wines... so a total of 70 minutes.
