As first time visitors, this proved to be the perfect introduction to Amsterdam and all it has to offer. Jam was a great narrator of the history, architecture, and culture. He went above and beyond the typical tourist sights, and time allotment to give us a better feel for the city’s beauty and uniqueness. Many thanks for a wonderful half day tour!
We can definitely recommend this tour. You visit places that you visit on foot or in a group rather less and with Jan as a tour guide we received a lot of background information. Gladly again on our next Amsterdam stay.

The pedicab was a great way to see Amsterdam. We saw so much of the city and got a historical perspective from our driver. Much more views than if we did a walking tour. Plus the added comfort of the pedicab!
this was a great tour to see the city. very informative an helpful to understand where we were in Amsterdam. Bike broke down on him and he made up time at our next available opportunity. pointed out good spots to shop and tour.
Seeing a lot without having to walk; that is for us the most ideal way of visiting a new city. We were picked up by Jan at our hotel and then he showed us the canal houses, the canals themselves, the Portuguese synagogue, Central Station etc etc. When in Amsterdam, one cannot escape the city's WWII history with so many Jews being transported to the death camps. He showed us Nieuwe Keizersgracht and with plaques on the side of the canal it was a chilling memory: per house names of people that had been transported to the death camps. We all know of Anne Frank, but there were thousands more in the same situation. No, they did not all write a book but still. Standing there is was a humbling experience. We asked him to be dropped off at the Damrak for our boattrip and that was not a problem at all. The following day we used the rickshaw more as a taxi to go to NEMO and THE LOOKOUT. Again, a very good experience; thank you very much Jan!
such a good time, excellent and highly personalized, very informative on the very long history of Amsterdam. Highly recommend, turned out to be my favorite Holland activity
