We toured with Ellie/Elenor who was AMAZING. She was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and personable. She went above and beyond getting to know us, helping us get to know her, and helping us get to know the amazing city of Rome. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My husband and I booked a private food tour through Campo de’ Fiori, the Jewish Ghetto, and Trastevere during our honeymoon, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip! Our guide, Isabella, was absolutely amazing. Having a private tour made the experience even more special because we were able to ask questions, move at a comfortable pace, and enjoy genuine conversations throughout the evening. Isabella was incredibly knowledgeable about Rome’s history, culture, and food traditions, and she made every stop feel personal and memorable. The food was outstanding from start to finish. We enjoyed authentic Roman specialties, incredible pasta, delicious fried street foods, and some of the best gelato we’ve ever had. Every stop was thoughtfully selected, and Isabella explained the history and significance behind each dish, making the experience so much more than just a food tour. Walking through Campo de’ Fiori, the Jewish Ghetto, and Trastevere while learning about the city’s history and culinary traditions was unforgettable. Lesa was great! We learned a lot and had delicious food! Very fun! Worth the money! She had great restaurant tips for Italy and shared a lot of knowledge of the area.

This excursion was as described. We walked about a mile or so through Rome and stopped periodically for several tastings. The majority of which were at the open air market for different cheeses and salami. All of this was done standing with the exception of one stop where we went in and sat down and had a portion of a basic Italian pasta dish at a restaurant in the basement. Following we went to a gelato store and then we all departed. I felt like the guide did a fairly good job and also included some history of the city.

I had a wonderful experience on tour of food and wine in Rome. I enjoyed the opportunity to learn about the food in Rome and also learned much about the history and culture. Lilly was a great tour leader and deserves the award of “best tour leader in Rome”. Thank you for a fantastic experience.
