We would like to clarify the currency point, as Polynesian Spa does not charge in US dollars. Our own pricing and transactions are in New Zealand dollars (NZD). When a booking is made through Viator, the currency displayed and charged is managed by their platform and may be based on the currency settings selected during booking. We appreciate you raising this and are pleased the spa experience itself was such an enjoyable one.

Hello Tony, We're sorry to hear that your visit did not meet your expectations. To clarify, Polynesian Spa is a privately owned business and is not managed by Rotorua City Council. During your visit, our large historic pool was temporarily unavailable due to scheduled maintenance. This pool is the original women's bathing pool and dates back to the early 1900s. Despite this closure, guests still had access to the other Pavilion Pools, including both acidic Priest Spring pools and alkaline Rachel Spring pools, as well as our foot reflexology walk. Pavilion Pool entry also includes unlimited bathing time, allowing guests to enjoy the facilities at their own pace. We understand that value is subjective, but we believe our pricing reflects the unique geothermal bathing experience, heritage, facilities, and unlimited access provided. Thanks Stephanie. The pools range in temperature from 38 to 41 degrees in this bathing area. There are cold showers outside to cool down and taking breaks is definitely a must, as is drinking water to stay hydrated.
