From the moment we enquired with Your Egypt tours to departing after our trip, we were so well looked after!
Special mention to our fantastic guides, Peter, Ash & Mamdouh! All 3 were so knowledgeable, friendly and professional. No request was too big or too small.
We felt so safe and looked after for our entire trip, which we could completely customise to our liking.
Our guides knew all of the tips and tricks when visiting each site/attraction to ensure we beat the heat, crowds and maximised our experience. The guides were always there when we need suggests on places to visit, additional activities or food recommendations
The boat we cruised the Nile on was beautiful and all of our accomodation in Cairo and Hurghada was clean, updated and located perfectly for what we required.
We cannot recommend your Egypt tours enough!
Thank you so much for providing an incredible experience we will not forget

50th Anniversary Trip to Egypt
Great trip. My second time to Egypt using Your Egypt Tours. 50th anniversary trip to Cairo and Luxor and a 4 night Nile River cruise. Mona was great in reservations and her English is better than most Americans. Great personal guides, drivers, etc all provided by YETs. Would use them again in a heartbeat.
PS......we encountered no safety issues in Egypt during our whole trips. Americans are welcomed (just as Mona assured us it would be).

We Attempt to See Egypt All in One Trip
We planned our trip 1 year ago. The actual travel happened at Easter of this year. The plan was to see all of Egypt in 1 trip, so the total trip was 23 days.
We flew Lufthansa from Detroit to Frankfurt to Cairo. Everything went well and we absolutely loved flying Lufthansa.
We had decided to hire a tour company for the first half or our trip, and they met us in the airport, got us to our hotel (right on the Nile). The next day we saw the Pyramids, the Sphinx, and the Egyptian Museum. We had a woman tour guide - Hend. She was wonderful. We rode the camels at the Pyramids, I recommend it, if only for the photos.
The next day we flew south and started a 5 day Nile cruise. Each day starts with a different Egyptian temple. We had a small group led by a college educated guide. Yassir was with us for the whole cruise. You get back to the boat for lunch and the boat starts moving to the next stop. The scenery from the top deck was great. There is also a bar and a pool. We made friends with the bartender Sayed. I felt like I made a friend; he really watched out for us. It was greatly appreciated.
The temples were fascinating. The Egyptian history makes our own American history seem very recent in comparison. The downside was that there was just sooo much history that my brain hurt. Far and away, the best day was at the Valley of the Kings. Being inside the ancient tombs with all the carvings and wall paintings was almost overwhelming. Everything is close enough to touch, in the States there would be bulletproof glass.
When the Nile cruise was ended we flew back to Cairo. Cairo is roughly the same size as the city we are from, by square miles, but the population is 25 million. The traffic has very few rules, it seems, but it still moves pretty good. I never felt unsafe but we were always in tourist areas.
For the second half of the trip we flew to Sharm el Sheikh. While there we stayed at a resort very similar to what you might find in Mexico or the Caribbean. I scuba dive on vacation and the diving in the Red Sea is on every diver's bucket list. The diving did not disappoint. I did all the local dives and had a really good time. The dive boats are pretty fancy and large. I would guess that we usually had around 75 divers. The equipment was fine, the dive masters are good. I was grouped with other english-speaking divers. Most divers were from Italy, with a lot of German, French, and English. Almost no Americans in Egypt. The only downside to the dive boats is that they are too large, too many divers. I prefer small boats, small groups. Large boats also mean a lot of wasted time. It took all day to dive in Egypt; in Cozumel you can be back to the bar and swimming pool by lunch.
The resort staff really likes Americans; I guess we tip for service and most other countries do not. I bring a lot of small bills and tip in dollars. That makes me friends like Hamdy, our favorite waiter after dinner. Mohammed the bartender wade a really good Mojito. Even the guy that cleaned our room was super friendly and took care of us.
Egypt's location relative to Sudan, Saudi Arabia, and Israel was not something that I thought about until I got there. Sudan is on their southern border and they are having a civil war. Saudi Arabia is visible across the water on clear days. Israel and the Gaza strip is literally up the road from our resort.
I never felt any kind of danger. Nobody talked about politics or world events. Egypt really needs tourism, they don't have anything else, really. And so, they take good care of their tourists, they dont want any bad press.
In summary, this was a ounce in a lifetime trip and I am not sorry that I went. Total cost was around $16,000. I an 64 this year. If I was a few years older, this trip might be too much. There is a lot of walking.

Great Company to explore Egypt with
We had booked with an US travel agent who is working with Your Egypt Tours on our first egypt travel for my wife’s birthday.
The entire team has been fantastic start to finish- from Ahmed who met us at the airport and explored Islamic Cairo with us, Mamdouh who took us to Gizah, Saqqara and Memphis and through Coptic Cairo to Ash who was with us during our Nile Cruise from Abu Simbel through Aswan, Edfu, Kom Ombo to Luxor. A great attention to detail, their expertise in designing the agenda and finding the least crowded spots and the Hotels and Cruise ship was first class.
Would definitely recommend booking through Your Egypt Tours.
