The tour with Huy has been great. Maybe because of the season (September), the tour has delivered what promised, with hardly any encounter of tourists on the way. Interesting to meet local families making a living on local products like bricks, coconut, chocolate, and jute. Extremely interesting was meeting a man who has been directly involved in the Vietnam War (or American War). His family has been badly hit by the events, with two relatives killed. I was enchanted hearing his stories first-hand. The rain has added a touch of reality - aren't strong rainfalls at home in the delta? The food was tasty and genuine - very much required on a full day tour. Huy managed to keep a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere and was patience enough to answer tons of questions on today's life in Vietnam, and to be a translator with the locals.
