Fantastic ride on the lake. We especially had a great group of English speakers. Our tour guide, Ricardo was amazing. His knowledge of the lake, history and thoughts really made the trip special. He was very attentive and aware of everyone needs. I would highly recommend this tour.
There was a problem. We have previously done private motor boat day tours of Lake Como. This tour was NOT PRIVATE (transport was on PUBLIC FERRIES), therefore this was NOT a motor boat tour, nor did the tour include VARENNA and TWO CHURCHES. We were told the tour had changed very shortly beforehand with no alternative that same day. Our guide Laura was excellent despite complaints by us and others on the tour.
Dear Richard, We would like to clarify the itinerary and transport arrangements. Before the tour, we offered you an upgrade to a higher-priced alternative itinerary, which you accepted by telephone. This itinerary included Villa del Balbianello, a filming location for Star Wars and Casino Royale, instead of Varenna. You visited Balbianello as agreed, and the itinerary followed was the alternative you had accepted. The tour is not advertised as a private motorboat excursion, and a private boat is not included in the description. Transport is by fast boat/hydrofoil as clearly advertised; on your tour, the hydrofoil was used. Thank you for your kind words about Laura. We are pleased that you appreciated her work as your guide.
Very nice tour . Our tour guide was from the area she was so sweet made sure to take pictures for all the families/couples. She arranged a nice lunch spot for us. Varenna was so pretty. Bellagio is quite busy so many people . Nice to visit for a couple hours
This tour was amazing!!! Glad I didn’t let the negative comments stop me from booking. We got to see amazing views of the villages and towns around the Lake from the water. Our tour guide, Marina, was great. The restaurant we ate lunch at was great and we had plenty of time to explore on our own in Belaggio. Great way to spend the day in Lake Como.
Guide was knowledgeable and friendly. He gave allot of insight into the various sites, and made sure our small group were together and even made arrangement for us to have lunch. Highly recommend him for such tours. You Should include fact that a rather long hike, with several hills were necessary, which taxed even the younger of our group.
Despite having to take bus back due to storms and boats unable to run , it was a fantastic tour and Violeta was a great guide The bus was welcomed since it was downpour
Okay- I read some mixed reviews on this tour and was unsure about taking it, but I’m SO GLAD we did! This tour is WORTH IT! Riccardo was our tour guide, and as a retired archaeologist he was filled with endless knowledge! He made the tour!! The convenience of having all ferry tickets pre-bought, routed, and optimized was worth the money for this tour it in & of itself! (The ferries are HECTIC and very confusing, not worth the stress…) With a guide we glided one area to the next, with enough time to enjoy each place- eat- shop- learn about it exc... Everything about this tour was wonderful to see the differing areas of Lake Como, learn history, & enjoy local culture. (…we even got lucky enough to enjoy a bit of a private tour with Riccardo durning part of the day to see a Villa!) So again- is this worth the money for a day tour???- YES! Pay for this tour and enjoy the elevated experience!🙌🏽 ✨🥂
Our guide, Marina, did a great job showing us around Varenna and Bellagio. She arranged ferry tickets and made sure we navigated that system efficiently and got the best seats. She was very accommodating to all requests and shared a lot of information about the area.
An exceptional trip around Lake Como; the guide had a vast knowledge about the villas , important people living there, a lot of history knowledge as well. Very friendly organisational team. The group we travel with were also very friendly, we shared a lot of good stuff from our countries, spots to visit, etc.We had a great day. I highly recommend this tour.
Best decision to book this tour. Took all the hassle out of queuing for ferry tickets. And had the fast hydrofoil boat to Varenna. Very knowledgeable and passionate tour guide that showed us so much that we would have missed. Highly recommend.
