We had a great time!! Alejandro was amazing and the perfect mix of informative but not too much talking. He was very kind as well and helped us out with an issue we had. I would most definitely do another of his tours again!

A fabulous day with plenty of time to explore the various places for ourselves. Walking was generally easy with only one place where the steps were a challenge (but I am an unfit 70+) Giulia was an excellent guide who made it a great day.

Andrea “Andy” was amazing! My partner and I had previously booked a guided tour in Florence, which we really enjoyed, but our experience with Andy gave us the more authentic Italian experience we had been hoping for. He was incredibly knowledgeable and insightful, and you could tell he genuinely wanted us to experience and understand the area rather than just see the sights. What we especially appreciated was the balance he created. He shared so much with us along the way but also gave us plenty of time to explore the neighborhood on our own and take everything in at our own pace. It never felt rushed or overly structured. We had such a great experience with Andy and would absolutely recommend him. In fact, we enjoyed it so much that we’re already considering coming back and booking the other two tours he guides!

We had the pleasure of booking this Tour from Abroad’s Tours. Our guide for the day was Francesca. She is an amazing guide; more about her later. Our tour started at Milano Centrale, it was a small group (14 or so people). We took the train up to Varenna. Due to the boat schedule, we didn’t get a lot of time to see Veranna, but it’s a quaint village and short ride to Bellagio, which is why it’s a popular train stop for transferring to the ferry. We arrived in Bellagio just around lunch time. Francesca did an amazing job of quickly giving us a layout of Bellagio and sent all of us her short list of vista points, restaurants and cafes we can wander around. Since my wife is vegetarian, we were on the hunt for something other than Pizza or typical pasta dishes. We discovered the most amazing place - Antico Pozzo. The Purple Cabbage risotto was simply outstanding and the Pasta Arrabbiata was surprisingly devine. For us Bellagio was bit of a let down, a lot of high end swanky shops and restaurants but not much to see, since most of the Villas are closed to the public. After about 2.75 hrs of taking in the sites of Bellagio, we were ready to board the fast boat to Bellano. Bellano hides an impressive Gorge that is well hidden behind a church. For us this was the highlight of the tour. Throughout the tour Francesca impressed us with her knowledge of the region, as you would expect from someone who is a native of the Como. We would highly recommend this tour and our guide to our friends.

Absolutely fantastic tour guide, highly recommend this smaller group as it’s easier to see more during the 10-11 hour trip without waiting for stragglers.

The wolf was great gave information about where to visit and restaurants very friendly bubbly person.
