Our class with Paolo was one of the highlights of our trip to Paris. We learned a lot about cheese, cooking techniques, and French food regulations and protections. Paolo made every element of our experience interesting and useful. The market tour was especially enjoyable. Would definitely do this again.

It is a pretty full day. You walk to the market and back and then you will stand most of the time preparing foods to cook and then cooking them. On the market trip you learn a lot of where things are sourced from and what that means. A stop at the fish monger and cheese shop for some history as well! There is something for everyone whether you are an experienced cook or have never set foot in the kitchen! I would be willing to bet everyone will walk away with a new skill or approach and for sure you will have a lot of fun. I know I personally did and I like to consider myself a good cook and someone that knows their way around the kitchen:) Everyone is a bit shy at first but by the time you sit down for your well deserved meal you have prepared and all worked on together —you are family! I would do this a hundred times over! Chef Fred was personable, knowledgeable and talented! You won’t regret this addition to your time in Paris!

A wonderful day! Fred was lots of fun, knowledgeable and inspiring. He managed all 11 of us seamlessly and with great humor. Loved the market experience. The meal we prepared was sublime. A great way to experience Paris and learn about food cultures.

It was wonderful, well worth the money, I recommend highly. Hands on. Chef Fred was knowledgeable and entertaining.

The Chef, Paolo, was friendly, knowledgable, and patient with our class of 12. We went to the market, where he explained what he looked for in ingredients and the importance of their origins. He then gave us instruction and helped us prepare a fabulous luncheon. This will be remembered as a great experience of this trip.

Fredrick was a wonderful teacher He has boundless energy and a great deal of knowledge He was also very funny and personable! I would highly recommend this cooking class!

This is a 10/10 experience. Well paced from the market to the kitchen to the table. Frederic was fun, funny and engaging, personable and warm. But he’s also a phenomenal chef and teacher. We learned a lot, laughed a lot, ate a lot. Highlight of our trip.

What an enjoyable experience from the market shopping to the sit down lunch of 3 courses 'expertly' 😀 prepared by a fun group under the entertaining guidance and expertise of Frederic. This was a fun day to enjoy others company and enjoy food and wine while learning about French culture and cooking.

We had the best time once we met Fredrick when he and the rest of the party returned from market. (Get your guide neglects putting the market option on their ad, so we had no idea we could have come earlier and shared in that experience), but this has no bearing on Le Foodist! The team working to keep our experience organized and smooth was superb. Fredrick was beyond accommodating and his lessons were well articulated with examples of history or scientific reasons behind the art we were learning. Loved it! We are from the USA, the Seattle, Wash area, so we have lots of salmon. It just happened that salmon was the main entree. Thank you, Le Foodist! Fredrick, thank you for being engaging and fun!!

Chef Paulo was enthusiastic and informative, and made our market visit and cooking class an amazing experience! We highly recommend this class!! We learned so much about shopping for fresh ingredients in France and how much work goes into preparing mussels, salmon, au graten potatoes and sauces and more!!
