We had a wonderful tour today and really enjoyed the whole experience. Everything was very well organized, and our personal highlight was definitely the hike in Kamikochi – such a beautiful place! Our guide, Harry, was fantastic. He was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and gave us lots of interesting information about all the places we visited. He also happily answered all of our other questions, which made the tour even more interesting and personal. Overall, it was a fantastic day and a really memorable experience. We would definitely recommend this tour – and a big thank you to Harry for making it so enjoyable!

We had a great experience at kamikochi! Harry (our guide) showed us all the nice spots and told us interesting stories about the area and beyond, He made this day into a wonderful experience.

We enjoyed this tour thoroughly. The journey was scenic and the sites themselves were breathtaking! The true gem of the trip however, was our tour guide - Mykasa (forgive my misspelling please). He was incredibly kind, patient, helpful and so informative. We got a balanced mix of information on the history and geography of Takayama/The Alps as well as some tips on the culinary scene. He even helped us to see some monkeys and had us dropped right to our hotel. My wife couldn’t stop raving about how amazing he was and how much she loved his stories. Thank you for a wonderful time, Mykasa! We highly recommend you.

Nice day behind us. Guide was waiting for us at the station and we left for the two of us in the mountains with private guide and private driver. First we went up with the cable car for the beautiful views. Afterwards we quickly knocked back lunch to go for a walk in beautiful Kamikochi. There was a bear spotted that morning, but fortunately for us it stayed away. However, a few monkeys saw . The guide told us about nature and Japan.

We were in a very comfortable van with an excellent tour guide, Yoshi who was very nice and knowledgeable. Loved learning Japanese/Takkayama specific info from him from mountains, plants, animals, birds, history and more. He told us what to expect from each stop clearly. It was sunny and gorgeous with breathtaking views. We saw monkeys walking around everywhere. We stopped by a convenient store to grab lunch to save time. If you are a nature lover, this is for you. Would do this tour again if I come back. Worth it!

This was a full day of beauty, history, and entertainment. Meeting point easy to find in train station. We had Yoshi for our guide and he was amazing! He was very patient in gathering the group and had information on so much during the drive, stops, and Japanese life. He offered to take pictures of every family/participant multiple times with the best scenery. Pace was relaxed and he kept us informed of food and rest area opportunities. Even though it was a hot day, there was plenty of relief in shade and indoor spots. Walks were easy, food/drink easy. Not sharing the best pictures because you deserve the surprises!

We had a once in a lifetime tour with Harry. Along with his geographical expertise of the region we also had the opportunity to delve into the historical background of the respective region.

Absolutely loved our tour through the mountains, might have been one of the top highlights of the entire trip. We enjoyed traveling with a small group and overall felt like there was enough time at each location. We were fortunate to have clear skies for the ropeway before the clouds obscured the tops. There is stop early on at 7-11 to pick-up lunch for later. Highly recommend for nature-lovers.
