Our guide Juisy was absolutely fantastic. It was like going on a walking tour with our own personal history professor. We loved learning the history of Matera and the Stassi. It was a lot of walking but even more knowledge was gained. A must if you visit Matera.

Her passion for this city is literally contagious. Antonia does not just list dates and historical facts. Walking with her through the alleys and cave houses, the history of Matera comes to life. She has the extraordinary ability to make the complexities of the past understandable, the transition from "shame of Italy" to UNESCO heritage, and she is always ready to answer every curiosity with a smile and great competence. The route is very well structured and touches the most beautiful panoramic points, allowing you to grasp the unique differences between the Sasso Barisano and the Sasso Caveoso. I recommend this tour to everyone, especially if you are lucky enough to have Antonia as a guide: she transforms a simple walk into an exciting story that will remain in your heart. Tour of Matera with the lovely Giusi who cheerfully guided us through the streets of this enchanting city, explaining details and curiosities that we would not have known on our own.

Tour really appreciated, especially thanks to Giusy, an extremely prepared guide but also engaging and nice. With her irony she managed to catch our attention, making every explanation interesting and pleasant to listen to. The visit of the city was very beautiful and full of information, and the stops at the quarry house and the church, together with Mr. Eustace, made the experience even more concrete. Charlie’s Angels of Turin are back in Piedmont really very satisfied! 😊
