Giaia provided a great introduction to the historically fascinating city of Trieste. She gave us an excellent account of the history and present day situation of Trieste through the lens her family and personal experience. A really valuable local guide. Our walking tour was quite strenuous, going into the old upper city and back down to the Jewish ghetto area and the Piazza Unite d’Italia. Be forewarned, you have to be in good physical shape to do the tour, but it’s very worthwhile.

Tour Trieste with a Triestina
We spent a wonderful three hours walking through Trieste with Alice. She was very knowledgeable and passionate about Trieste’s history—both past and present. The Gioia of Trieste
Gioia was a joy. She anticipated the rainy weather and offered to adjust the tour start time to match the sunshine. She took into account places we had already seen and showed us unique and interesting places. She is extremely knowledgeable about history and loves her city. She shared its secrets and treasures like only a local can. Highly recommend Gioia and this tour.

Better to book a professional instead of a "local"!
Trieste is a very beautiful city! We had a very nice and attentive tour guide. However, if you book a private tour in German to open up the city experience to the children, we should be able to expect significantly more for the price.
That is probably due to the concept of this platform and will not happen to us again in the future.
To clarify this once again, our guide was very accommodating and friendly, but not what we had expected.

Great morning walk
Alice showed us around Trieste, tailoring the trip to our personal interests. She was very knowledgeable and informative.
An experienced traveller herself, she was able to share insights from a broader perspective than someone who had Linotype experience of the world outside trieste
