This was a lovely and intimate tour with a small group of 8 people! The guide was so knowledgeable and fun. He went out of his way to be accomodating and make sure everyone was enjoying their time. Highly recommend this tour and guide!

Whilst our guide, Teresa, was delightful, the tour itself was extremely disappointing and barely a tour at all. In a three hour tour, we went to three places, and the group was also far too big. I have done food tours all over the world, and I’m sorry to say that this one is really lazily put together. Each of the three stops were on the main drag - no nice hidden local gems or varied types of food retailers. There were two small bites and a drink at each stop, with even the promised coffee being served in the same place as our last savoury bite - no cosy cafe as advertised. The quantity and variety of food on the tour is extremely limited. A group of 12 is not a small-group tour. It’s far too many for the guide to talk to on the painfully slow walks between the limited venues and at the venues themselves. A small-group needs to be a maximum of 8 people. This whole tour needs a serious re-think. It could offer so much more in a city so famed for its diverse food culture. I will say that the office team themselves were very efficient and helpful and, as I’ve said already, the guide was lovely. There’s a lot of potential, but the tour really needs some serious work.

Our small-group tour has a maximum of 12 participants, as stated in the experience details, but we understand that this group size and the overall format were not what you expected, and we appreciate you sharing your perspective. I had been told that Trieste was a foodie city, so was excited to do a “unique “ food tour. The first stop was a local fried meatball, bread, breaded zucchini, some other fried snack and some of the local ham with wine. I’m not a huge fan of fried food, but enjoyed trying local snacks. The next stop was sardines and onions in bread which I also enjoyed with Prosecco. The 3rd stop was a ham sandwich with cheese wrapped in plastic. I think it would have been nice to try something besides ham and bread which we had at the first stop. The dessert and coffee at the last stop was nice. The guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the area which I enjoyed and was very friendly. Just thought the food could have had a little more variety.

It was a highlight of our visit to Trieste. Sveva not only told us a lot about the food in the region but also a lot of history surrounding it. Everything was super delicious!! It is also nice to get to know people from other countries. The tour was in English.

Great trip with a really helpful, friendly guide Sveva. Great to try local food and hear about the places we were eating it in. Also had a great cold red wine!. Lovely group, there were 8 of us and we carried on afterwards and when for a few extra drinks
