At the outset itself I must specify, that I have always booked through Viator for all my experiences, across the world. And I have always had a 5 star experience. This particular experience I would like to believe is an aberration. 1. Location for pickup could easily have been improved. There was a clear Metro sign which could have been given as the location sign. All of us landed up at the pick up point whereas the guide was standing at the metro sign. 2. Should have had ear phones : the surroundings were noisy, the guide could not speak aloud and we could hardly follow what was said. 3. The guide was not as enthusiastic as we have always experienced in our other outings. 4. As a result , many guests dropped out mid-way itself and I don’t blame them as the experience was so boring.

Great tour. Was lucky to have a small and friendly group. The guide was excellent, gave a very good insight to everything. Got so much more information than we would’ve from going without a guide.

An absolutely fantastic tour from start to finish! Our guide, Marianna, was exceptional—knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about the history of ancient Rome. She provided fascinating insights throughout the tour and ensured we had plenty of time to fully explore and appreciate the Colosseum, Palatine Hill, and Roman Forum. Her expertise and enthusiasm made the experience both educational and enjoyable. Highly recommended!

Our guide had such a fun, infectious personality and was very knowledgable about the colosseum and forums… for us, it made experiencing the sites much more enjoyable because we learned a lot and laughed along the way. I wish I knew her name! As long as you bring water and a fan, the heat is bearable. If you want to learn about the history instead of just looking at the sites and googling on your phone, this is the way to go!

It was well organized and informative. However the groio size was too big. I was assigned to one grouo and then shifted to anither.

The title of the tour is a little bit misleading. We really didn’t tour the Colosseum at all. There was some information given about it outside the Colosseum, but it was hard to hear her with all the noises going on, and she had a soft voice. You might want to give her a microphone in a little speaker next time. From what I did hear, she was knowledgeable and did a good job but we left early.

Joseph was a fabulous tour guide. We had a wonderful time and found a few new details about Rome that leave us to explore more. Thank you again!

This was an incredible tour. Usue is such an amazing guide! She knows so much, makes it interesting and it felt like the money I paid was totally worthy. Interesting, engaging, good views, she offered to take pictures, was able to answer all questions and even recommended nice places for lunch. I will definitely find more tours with her in my next visit. In my groups there were kids and old people and she was always aware and double checking our wellbeing.

Andy was incredibly knowledgeable, very personable and fun. He answered everyone’s questions and made the tour very enjoyable for everyone. He was fantastic!
