Had the best time in this tour. Jeff our guide was amazing. Made sure we all enjoyed the pace and looked after a few older ladies who were slightly nervous. What a fabulous guide giving us lots of stops and stories along the way. 10/10. I would definitely recommend this tour. It is wonderful getting away from the hustle and bustle of Rome and being in the countryside after a few minutes. Thanks Jeff from your Glasgow group!

Mixed feelings
I came away with mixed feelings about this tour.
First, the good: the bikes were charged and functioned well. They had a large collection with plenty of different sizes, and had a bag where you could put food and water. The route was well chosen to avoid Rome's hectic traffic and even the hoards of tourists except on the Via Appia itself. Our guide was knowledgeable about each of the sites we visited. We got to see the outside of a huge Roman bath house, catacombs, the Via Appia, aquaducts, and the residence of a Roman emporer.
The not so good: the instructions for how to use the e-bikes was limited and misdirected, the guide did not keep track of time and allowed stops to last longer than necessary, the lunch was late in the ride and was just a bowl of pasta with a tomato based sauce, and it would have been nice to explore the inside of the bath house, which is apparently open and free to the public.
Final mention that the cobble stones of Via Appia are very large and bumpy to ride over in places, so I wouldn't recommend this unless you are quite comfortable on a bike.

Dear Courtney,
We appreciate the time you dedicated to us for writing your feedback. We thank you also for all the positive things you had experienced during the tour and mentioned.
About the parts that you were not satisfied, we'd like to remind you that at the beginning we gave you the explanations regarding the bike and you also tested the bike even before the tour starts. We don't let any person start testing the bike before we have given the complete explanations.
The explanations of the guides for each stop should be complete and it can not be reduced, the pace of some slow riders might delay the tour.
You mentioned the lunch was late, while you had also mentioned you wished to get inside the monuments (Only the first Sunday of the month they are free). If you had entered Baths of Caracalla, it would have taken even more time for you to reach the Lunch place.
The meal that you are calling ''Just a bowl of pasta'' is Traditional Italian Pasta and so many other participants have been grateful and had appreciated us for it since it is in the middle of an physical activity.

Know before you go.....
Pleasant afternoon. The guide worked hard to keep the crew together due to narrow roads shared with vehicles and varying skills of riders in traffic.

Best way to see parts of Rome we had not seen before!
We truly enjoyed this bike tour of the Appian way. Salah was a fantastic guide. He kept us safe on busy city roads and during the bumpy Appian road. This tour was perfect. Our bikes worked properly on all of the different terrains and we never feared running out of battery. We were able to really see the aquaducts up close and personal which was something we hadn't planned on getting to do! The lunch was delicious as well! Great tour and fantastic guide.

Fun and interesting experience
Excellent tour, our guide was very friendly. The tour went through different types of terrain and the views were fantastic. We wanted to go out from the city and this was an superb experience.
The visit to the Catacombs was interesting and very informative. The ride on the Apian road, unique!
Wonderful experience getting out of the city into the countryside and open air. Enjoyed learning about some of the area history along the way and touring the catacombs. A memorable experience.

Do yourself a favour - You won’t be disappointed
We did the 5hr Deluxe Appian Way Bike Tour with Catacombs Visit & Lunch with Trevor as our tour guide. We had a thoroughly enjoyable time riding along the Appian Way at a leisurely pace on well equiped e-bikes. Trevor was a very knowledgeable and engaging travel guide who took time to explain the various points of interest and answered all questions asked. We are so glad we took the time to do the Appian Way - it showcased another side of Rome that you just won’t see walking the inner city streets. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to see Rome beyond the city centric attractions - many thanks to Trevor and Roma Starbike for a truly amazing experience.

Unreal
Me and my family went together, along with five others in our group. Our guide, Sale, was amazing! Very informative, and answered lots and lots of questions. Such a good tour - learnt a lot about Rome that you wouldn’t otherwise. The stops were well timed and everyone was very accommodating! Highly recommend!!!
