We had a really good experience with BC Family Vietnam Open Bus Tour. The buses were new, clean, and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and professional.
We booked the Luxury Bus Private Cabin from Hanoi to Sapa and back to Hanoi, as well as the Luxury Bus from Hanoi to Hue and Da Nang. Everything went smoothly and the service was reliable.
We were very happy with our trips and would definitely recommend them to friends traveling around Vietnam.

Take the train
Terrible. Shuttle driver was late. Communication were not good. Driver had Friend with him and they talked all night long. It was impossible to sleep for five minutes. Road was so rough bumpypotholes swaying back-and-forth. Bus depot was not at the address provided but in some random location. Not where you want to be dropped at 5am. Worst thing I’ve done in Vietnam.

URGENT FORMAL REFUND COMPLAINT – Double Payment for Hanoi–Sapa Bus Booking – 3 Passengers
Hanoi to Sapa bus booking for 3 passengers.
We booked and paid for the journey online through Tripadvisor using our credit card. After the booking, the trip organizer contacted us through WhatsApp and told us that our booking was incorrect and that we had booked Sapa to Hanoi instead of Hanoi to Sapa.(In Tripadvisor Hanoi to Sapa it was correct)
Following their instructions, we cancelled the online booking. However, they then instructed us to pay the same amount in cash directly to the driver when we were picked up by Van. We followed their instructions and paid the driver in cash for the Hanoi to Sapa journey.(No receipt given)
As a result, we have paid twice for the same journey – once online through Tripadvisor and once in cash to the Van driver.
Unfortunately, despite cancelling the original booking as instructed, our online payment has still not been refunded. We have repeatedly contacted the organizer through WhatsApp, but nobody is responding or taking responsibility.
We kindly request Tripadvisor to investigate this matter and arrange the full refund of our original online payment.
We can provide the booking confirmation, cancellation details, WhatsApp messages, and payment evidence if required.
Please treat this as an urgent refund request.

Don’t pay online with credit card
🚨 STRONG WARNING – THINK TWICE BEFORE BOOKING THIS COMPANY 🚨
Our experience with this company has been extremely disappointing and frustrating.
We booked our Hanoi–Sapa bus through TripAdvisor and paid online by credit card. After the booking, the company contacted us and told us that we had booked the wrong bus and that we needed to cancel the reservation.
They then told us to pay them directly in cash instead. We trusted what they told us and followed their instructions.
But here is the serious problem: we still have NOT received our refund for the original booking.
We have now paid for the same journey twice — once through TripAdvisor by credit card and once directly to the company in cash.
How is this acceptable?
We did exactly what the company asked us to do, yet our original payment has still not been returned. We are extremely angry and disappointed that we have been left chasing our own money after following their instructions.
This is not the way customers should be treated.
We are writing this review because we do NOT want other travelers to experience what happened to us. If this company tells you to cancel a prepaid booking and pay them directly, be extremely careful. Do not pay again until you have clear confirmation that your original payment has been refunded.
We are still waiting for our money back.
Based on our experience, we would strongly advise travelers to be very cautious before booking and paying this company directly.
We trusted them, paid as instructed, and are now left trying to recover money that should have been refunded.

Hanoi Airport to Sapa and Sapa to Hanoi with Bcfamilytour - The best bus service we used in Vietnam!
We used the luxury bus service from Hanoi Airport to Sapa and from Sapa back to Hanoi, and we were very impressed with the service.
BC Family Tour team was very professional and helpful. They provided us with detailed information and always kept us updated throughout the journeyy.
What impressed us most was their support when my mother accidentally left some belongings on the bus. The staff went out of their way to help us locate the items, and we were very happy to get everything back. Their support was incredibly enthusiastic and thoughtful

Highly Recommended for Family Travel in Hanoi, Sapa, Vietnam & Laos
Our family of 5 seniors, 4 adults, and 3 children traveled with BC Family Tour during our trip to Vietnam and Laos.
We first booked their Hanoi–Sapa luxury bus about two months in advance. After having a really good experience, we decided to continue booking their private transfers and tours for the rest of our trip, including Halong Bay, Ho Chi Minh City, Nha Trang,Phong Nha, Da Nang and Hoi An, and Laos.
With such a large family, especially with elderly people and children,
arranging transportation and tours can be quite complicated.
What we really appreciated was that BC Family Tour helped us organize everything together. By booking the tours and transfers with them as a package we were able to save both time and money compared with arranging similar services separately
After using their services throughout our trip, we are very happy with our decision and truly appreciate all the support from their team. They made traveling with our big family much easier and more convenient

Disappointed
Pick up is an hour before stated on booking which was annoying as the reason we booked with this company is because it said pick up at 8:30 which left us time for breakfast. The limousine bus was much bigger and slower than expected, I thought it was going to be a minivan. I asked to be sat near the front due to pregnancy and this was ignored. Whole trip took 7hrs when it should have taken 5-6. Poor communication from outset, no reply to messages for over 24hrs. Would not recommend. Will stick with GetYourGuide in future.

When you make a last-minute booking online, the system will automatically assign you one of the seats that are still available at that time. This is similar to a flight, where other passengers may have selected their seats weeks, months, or even years in advance, before you made your booking.
However, in Vietnam, we always try to give priority to women, children, pregnant women, and other passengers who may need priority seating, as this is part of our traditional culture.
If you would like to change your seat with another passenger, you would need to speak directly and politely with the passenger who is currently sitting in that seat and ask if they would be willing to exchange seats. Of course, our bus staff will do their best to assist and support you with the process.
However, in this situation, it seems that you did not take the appropriate steps to achieve the outcome you wanted.
Regarding the bus journey, the travel time depends on many factors, including traffic conditions, the number of passengers on board, the legally permitted speed limits for buses, and scheduled rest stops for passengers to take a break or use the toilet during a long journey.
Therefore, the actual travel time can vary from one trip to another. Some journeys may be faster, some may arrive on time, while others may take longer. This is completely normal for bus travel in many countries and is not unique to the Hanoi–Sapa route.

A shuttle came...
A shuttle came to pick us up at the hotel to take us to the bus; we made 2 stops along the way, the bus was very comfortable and the driver drove well. Once we arrived at the agency, a shuttle took us to our hotel. Everything went very well.
