We started our experience by meeting some of the goats, learning about their care and the milking process. We even got a chance to feed them a little treat. Then...we were invited inside to taste 4-5 different types of cheese made on the farm as well as a demonstration about how the cheese is made. It was a great experience.
Tour on an actual goat and cheese making farm. Lots of great education of goat husbandry and the cheese making process. No fluffy stuff but the real deal.
We were lucky enough to see a baby goat just after it was born, whilst our hostess explained the breeding/birthing cycle. We saw the milking room, and were then shown the process for making goats cheese. We then had a yummy tasting.
Took the private tour and thoroughly enjoyed it. Got to go to the "Nanny" barn where there were over 200 milking goats. Took lots of pictures and saw a very young goat. This was followed by a tour of their active operation and cheese tasting. Well worth experiencing.
