A truly amazing experience. Joelle was fantastic and so organised. And the meal was magnifique. Highly recommend you do this if you want a real French experience. Wish I could give it a higher score

A wonderful way to learn about the cuisine, the markets and the people of Lyon with a gracious host. Our small group was expertly and warmly led by Joëlle in the kitchen, at the local outdoor market and at the table to eat the food that we prepared. Try to book this experience at the beginning of your visit to Lyon to take advantage of Joëlle’s outstanding restaurant and site seeing recommendations.

An extremely enjoyable experience. Learning to cook in a french style - lots of butter and creme freche and chocolate - a visit to an incredible food market and other good shops in a beautiful and vibrant neighborhood of Lyon - a pleasant social gathering and delicious lunch with our hosts and other travelers in a spectacular home and outdoor space high above the city.

Joelle has created a wonderful experience. We had such an enjoyable time creating some fun recipes. The market excursion was also good. This was a fun, warm and wonderful way to spend a day, particularly if one likes cooking. Joelle planned an informative and filled day. After doing some initial food prep (she called it "work"), we went to the daily loca, outdoorl farmers market to pick up produce and cheeses. Then back to get beautiful home to finish preparing and eating the meal. I'm an avid home cook, yet learned new dishes and preparations. We all say down to eat in the outdoor patio area with a view of all Lyon. Her husband Phillipe joined us and our was like enjoying a special meal with family. Unique, delicious, and friendly. Highly recommended.

Joëlle is very warm, gracious, and hospitable, and she made our market visit and cooking lesson fun! She is a patient teacher, and thankfully did not react like certain celebrity chefs when she found a bit of yolk in my egg whites (very bad when making mousse 😀 - ohlalalala). We met her charming husband and enjoyed lunch together on the terrace with beautiful views of Lyon. Joëlle also kindly provided my wife and I additional info on Lyonnaise restaurants and bouchons that only locals know. Highly recommended!

Wonderful Rooftop View of Lyon and an exquisite/informative cooking class. Joelle was our tour guide through the neighborhood market. We returned back to her home where we shared in cooking techniques, French cooking terminology, and friendly banter. Recipes will very depending on requests, allergies, and availability. She catered to our dietary restrictions (pescatarian) and was very thoughtful in guiding our cooking process. It was a splendid time and we look forward to spending time with her in the future. She has a great list of places to visit as tourists, vendor recommendations, and foodie spots. Overall, excellent resource for Lyonnaise cuisine, specialty's, and wine recommendations. The entire experience was amazing. Joelle was a wonderful host and instructor. The day started at the market, which goes for many blocks, with the most wonderful ingredients. We then went to the butcher and cheese shop. All of the recipes are approachable, so you can do them at home. Joelle guided us, but was not intrusive as we made the meal. We then sat to eat together and it felt more like having dinner at a friend's home. And... speaking of her home. The rooftop terrace view is remarkable. We could see all the way to the Alps.
