Unfortunately, today I find myself writing a negative review about my visit to the Scacciadiavoli winery. Nothing to say about the winery but, rather, about the Tour Operator to whom, unknowingly, I turned. In fact I bought the experience through the Tripadvisor website and not directly with the Winery. I had initially purchased the experience for Saturday 14/2 at 13:30 but then, for personal reasons, I had to change the time. Having seen on the Tripadvisor website that there was a later time (4:00 pm) than the one I initially booked, as a first step I tried to contact the Tour Operator through the telephone number indicated. No one answered this number. After a short wait I filled out and sent the form I found through the site. After a few hours, the phone number initially contacted me called and told me that they would make the request to the winery but that, until I received a new voucher, I had to continue to consider the first time valid, for which I had already received the voucher. However, being on the eve of the event and seeing the time pass unnecessarily, I decided to identify the winery (only the coordinates are indicated in the offer and also incorrectly) and I called them directly. The staff of the winery was very kind and they immediately confirmed the possibility of varying my hours. Strong of the confirmation of the winery I went to the place at 16:00 and I had no problem but, on the side of the Tour Operator, I am still waiting for their confirmation today (Tuesday 17th). Another unpleasant situation occurred at the time of wine and food tasting because, while those who had booked directly with the winery, were able to taste all that is boasted on the Tripadvisor website and at their table were delivered multiple tasting trays for me, who had booked through Tripadvisor, were not offered for tasting cheese, ham, bruschetta, and chocolate but a simple tray of cheese and ham. The wines tasted were 7, as per TripAdvisor presentation and it is not possible to question the quality and kindness of the cellar. So, great wine cellar, great wines, very kind staff - Tour Operator organization, bad!
Gentilissima, ci dispiace leggere la sua recensione, soprattutto perché quanto riportato non corrisponde a quanto effettivamente accaduto. A sole quattro ore dalla sua richiesta di modifica dell’orario, abbiamo provveduto a contattare la cantina e a confermarle il nuovo orario, rispondendo direttamente al suo messaggio tramite il portale di prenotazione. La comunicazione è stata quindi inviata con tempestività. Quando si utilizzano piattaforme di prenotazione, è importante monitorare le comunicazioni inviate tramite il portale stesso, poiché se riceviamo domande tramite il portale, tutte le risposte ufficiali vengono trasmesse attraverso quel canale. Ci preme inoltre sottolineare che la sua recensione rischia di penalizzare una cantina che lei stessa afferma di aver apprezzato e che rappresenta una delle eccellenze della nostra splendida regione. Siamo certi di aver fatto tutto quanto necessario per assisterla correttamente nella gestione della prenotazione. Precisiamo infine che non risultano telefonate ricevute né effettuate, proprio perché la comunicazione era già avvenuta tramite il portale utilizzato per la prenotazione.
We were assured that we would be picked up from the small mountain village, which has no taxi service, and taken to and back from the winery for the tour and tasting. There was obviously a lack of communication between your agents which resulted in us finally being collected by a taxi, arriving at the venu as it was about to finish and having to pay a taxi fee which was greater than the price that we had already paid to attend the cellar(which we did not see) and have very quick tasting run by embarrassed staff. Rest assured that we will think twice before we book any travel with you in the future
Dear guest, I advise you to read well before booking an experience. Transportation is not included and no one ever told you that you would be picked up by cab. We called several times and sent the messages to arrange transportation but you never responded. The meeting place is directly at the winery as stated in the voucher, and you never answered the phone to arrange the transfer.
We had a wonderful tour of the old winery building and tasting of the lovely vino afterwards with some cheese, meats and other bites to go with the wine. Thanks so much to Virginia with your knowledge and friendliness.
Enjoyed touring Scacciadiavoli Cantina with my wife and another couple whom had booked the event. Francesca did a wonderful job explaining the winery’s processes. The tastings were a terrific success from the wine, meats, cheeses and breads. Purchased a number of bottles to take back with us. Francesca was a wealth of information on other places to visit as well! Thank you so much for a terrific morning and lunch hour! Get you wineries name on some glasses! We would have purchased those too!
Booked the afternoon tour two days in advanced and it ended up being just my partner and I. Our guide was super nice and we chatted for quite some time. The wines were excellent and the food pairing was a good selection of cheeses and meats from the area. At the end we went for a quick little tour just to show us the fermentation and storage areas. The only negative was the address that trip advisor sent us was 13 and not 31, but a quick search helped us figure out where to go. Was a very nice afternoon and I would recommend
