Wow! what a great sunset beach ride we had and a great tour guide! Horses are so beautiful and calm for a family ride! Highly recommend!

We had such an amazing experience! None of us have ridden a horse before, but all the horses seemed happy to have us. We walked down the beach at sunset and it was just magical. The guide was very friendly and clear with her instructions. She cared deeply for all the horses. She also took beautiful photos of us riding!

Sylvia is an excellent instructor and she made us feel so comfortable horseback riding for the first time. We also went on the ATV tour with Micah and thoroughly enjoyed seeing the backcountry. This was a great way to spend the day.

Mike greeted us upon arriving. We rode with Silvie. The experience was incredible as we walked our horses through the path and on to the beach. The horses knew the way and chose who would take the lead! Kiki and Larry were fun to be around. Highly recommend!

Sylvia was a fantastic guide. She was very careful to fit the stirrups for each of us, and guided us on how to ride her horses who she said were sensitive to feeling what you do to know what you want. Our horses, Rosie and Kiki, were a pleasure to ride. Very sweet, well cared for, and fun horses. They really enjoyed their excursion on the beach and liked stomping in the water, catching licks of salt water on their tongues. Sylvia was a joy to chat with and ahe took great video and photos of us with my phone. She is super friendly and not strict or uptight like some wranglers I've done trail rides with before who make you stay in line and walk only. At one point, she hung back behind us and let my husband and I ride alone, side by side together ...and she was okay with our horses trotting a bit. The view was spectacular. She also pointed out some sloths in the trees living at her ranch. After your ride, go to lunch at Marea Brava, Esterillos Oeste located on the beach. Take a walk on the beach to the mermaid statue and tide pools after lunch.

Sylvia was an excellent host and guide. She was careful and thorough with her instructions, so we felt safe as both of us are beginner level. Sylvia continued to give us helpful instructions as we rode and maybe changed positions or something, which apparently signals the horse. (Non-rider here!) The beach ride was lovely. We rode at lower tide and enjoyed the beautiful beach, sky, mountains in the distance, and tropical tree line. She was knowledgeable about the beach, and the area, and shared her knowledge with us, recommending some nearby sights, a mermaid statue and tide pools, as well as El Miro, an unfinished mansion that you can hike to. We followed through and very much enjoyed her suggestions. Highly recommend riding with Sylvia. Phil and Sue

Incredible tour guide! So much fun. Long ride along the beach, short ride through the forest so be careful of mosquitoes.

What an amazing experience! I had gone horseback riding before but never on the beach until now! First I would like to say that the animals at CR Beach Barn are definitely well cared for and loved, this was apparent from the first introduction to the horses by Sylwia and the way the dogs always want to be around throughout the ride. Felt safe all the way and would recommend CR Beach Barn to everyone who visits the area. Sylwia took beautiful pictures and videos of us during the ride which she shared with us afterwards, sooooo thoughful and appreciated!

Fantastic experience. Family of 4 (children 11 and 13) with no riding experience, had a blast. Highlight of our trip to Manuel Antonio. Went during sunset and the beach was beautiful, made for great photos. Was looking for something on horseback in the area, but most seemed to be in the 'jungle' and looked like just a wide trail in the woods. Here we went straight to the nearby beach and with the waves and sunset it just felt magical. Thanks again.

Hands down the best experience I’ve had in CR this week! I have been on a horse twice in my life and was a little nervous about riding a horse on the beach. Sylvia was incredible and immediately put me at ease. She took the time to show us the correct way to sit, how to hold your feet in the stirrups and how to use the reigns. She explained how the horse interprets all of your movements. She is so knowledgeable and it is obvious that she is looking out for the safety of both the horse and rider. Her horses are very well taken care of and it shows. This is not a typical “come and ride a horse” tourist attraction. I highly recommend this to anyone!
