Amazing!! I recommend so much!!! Breath-taking views and Randall is AWESOME!!! He is SOOO knowledgeable of the land and takes great pride in it which makes it SOOO much fun!!! The waterfall is everything and more and the FOOD was amazing!!! The horses are happy and well taken care of too, which makes you feel so much better!! So so thankful we got this opportunity and we will definitely be back!!!
Don’t miss this! It was our favorite part of our week-long trip in Costa Rica. Randall and his family are incredibly welcoming, and they were very patient and accommodating for our young son. We don’t have any experience with riding horses but felt safe and comfortable. The scenery is amazing and swimming near a waterfall was so refreshing and fun. They also served a delicious typical Costa Rican lunch at the end, as good as any we’ve had here. We booked through Trip Advisor and communication was easy on WhatsApp. I would recommend wearing clothes you don’t mind getting a bit muddy and shoes with good tread for the walking portion of the tour. We brought a small towel which was also nice to have.
It is all worth going, it is incredible, the guide is a delight and makes it super fun, you eat delicious typical food and the waterfall is crazy and the horses are very gentle

Wonderful experience with Don Juan and Randall We were a family of 16 people with children and both the hotel pickup, as well as the horseback riding experience, the explanation about the farm and the nature was perfect Highly recommended
A great plan!! 100% recommended!! Randall guided us and took care of us like his family, at his ranch. Horseback riding route, swimming in a waterfall, and lunch; you cannot ask for more.
It worth every penny !!! My kids had a wonderful time and the lunch was amazing. Everything felt was authentic and hosted by his family farm. 💯 recommend! The guide even took pictures at no charge for us to capture the memories .
We truly had such a wonderful experience for the day. From pickup to drop off, it was seamless. You can tell Randall loves his family’s ranch and the riches the land has provided, and his knowledge of the flora and fauna that you see along the way is unparalleled. Our horses were calm and knew the paths well. At the end of the ride we had a typical Costa Rican family meal that was prepared for by Randall’s stepmother, and it was delicious! Pro tip: Wear clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty/muddy, and put on your bug spray and sunblock. Great time had by all!
Rancho Típico Don Juan was an amazing experience for my family. The property was simply stunning. The guide, who was a staple at the ranch and family itself, was a fantastic guide. Especially considering the fact that we have two young ones who have never ridden before. His best qualities: -knowledge on indigenous people -history of the ranch -top notch narration during the experience -enthusiasm for the geography, as well as the flora and fauna of the area -teaching skills for those who have never ridden before -ability to tailor make the ride for your group And you get a filling lunch that has some staples from Costa Rica, please try the homage chilis mix and iced tea. We had a great time and 10/10 would recommend to any one traveling in the area. Thank you!
