Verena was our tour guide.
It was a consistently well-organized tour with lots of interesting information on the way to Rome and tips from Verena on how to best use the short time in Rome and see as much as possible.
We had a very, very nice day and saw a lot.
Small tip: The hop-on hop-off tour is not recommended for a 5-hour stay, as you are significantly faster on foot due to the traffic in the city and many sights are reachable in approx. 10-25 minutes on foot.
If you are there for longer, a hop-on hop-off tour is definitely much more sensible.

Great tour guide!
Verena was a wonderful tour guide. She answered all our questions and provided us with fun facts and history along the ride. Being from the cruise ship, hard to truly enjoy the hop on/hop off because of time constraints, but that has nothing to do with the actual tour and how everything was managed. Verena was in touch through whatsapp and was easy to find her when getting off cruise ship. She was awesome!

Super experience
We arrived at the port on the cruise ship, and the meeting point was easy to find. To our surprise, the tour guide Verena was actually German and explained everything to us again in German as well. The transfer went smoothly and we were back at the port on time. During that time, we were able to visit the Colosseum as well as the Roman Forum.

A very beautiful and hot day in Rome
Tour guide was very good. For us, the bus was not quite worth it because we ended up doing most things on foot. Next time we would rather do some guided tour or forgo the bus entirely.

From Civitavecchia to Rome
Very well-organized excursion. Verena prepared us well for the day in Rome with her explanations and information. We were dropped off at the Circo Massimo and had 5 hours of free time. At 3:30 PM we headed back to the ship. We are very satisfied!
