WOW…what an amazing night! I booked this for a more local experience before leaving Australia for a cruise out of Civivatecchia and returning to stay a couple of nights. Francesca, her son and daughter were absolutely beautiful and could not have been more welcoming. considering we had a terrible time finding then due to an uber driver dropping us at the wrong address. (my advice…let Francesca organise your pickup!) This far exceeded our expectations…her home is lovely and she taught us how to make gnocchi from scratch (had all the ingredients ready for both of us to participate, complete with aprons to wear and also an opportunity to make the dessert too after a welcoming beverage and some starters to relax in her garden. Our gnocchi was then cooked by her with her home made passata and served on the deck by her son who played the part of waiter and an excellent one too. Paired with the meal was her home made wine and a delicious liquer to finish with the dessert. If you want a truly wonderful authentic Italian experience and learn how to make italian pasta this is the one to book! We didn’t want to leave and would love to revisit sometime in the future. Absolute perfection! Such a wonderful opportunity to dine with local people in their beautiful home. Food was perfection and the hosts were spectacular. Would highly reccomend.

Together with some friends, we had a delightful dinner at Francesca's home in Civitavecchia on May 19th. From beginning to end, it was a wonderful evening. We made pizzas and, together with the pre-dinner reception, dinner and dessert, the evening was a great start to our trip to Italy, France, Spain, and Portugal. Francesca's son, Gabriel, together with his girlfriend, made us extremely welcome. It's not often you go to dinner where the chef has made not only dinner but her own olive oil and limoncello. The evening brought back many happy memories of family dinners at my in-laws, who moved from Italy in 1950 to Canada.

This was a great experience with a lovely Italian family. From the moment we arrived to the end of the dinner we felt like part of their family! Good food and good conversation. Francesca had prepared a delicious meat and cheese tray as an appetizer along with prosecco wine. Then onto the demonstration of homemade gnocchi and sauce from her garden. You could get involved in the prep as much as you felt comfortable. Overall a great experience. The entire family was involved.

On August 25th we were hosted by Graziella at her lovely home in Civitavecchia. Her husband and son also joined us for dinner. She made a wonderful 4 course dinner and provided a beautiful wine to complement the dinner. She was a very kind and delightful host and her family made us feel very welcome. The meal was delicious and very plentiful. We also enjoyed many different topics of conversation as we learned about each other’s food and culture. We chose this experience for this reason and were not disappointed! We would highly recommend this experience.
