Whisky was the best tour guide EVER!! She was very personable, knowledgeable, and had great energy throughout the entire tour. She definitely made the entire experience for my mother and I and we are so grateful to have been paired with her. She knew so much about the Castle and the length of 2 hours for the tour was perfect.

Chiarra “Whiskey” was very detailed and passionate about the information she shared about the castle. The history of the castle is amazing and she was able elaborate on the stories and history. The views from the top of the castle were awesome and Chiarra pointed out the various sites that you could see from the top.

If you are lucky enough to get Vincenzo (Vincent) Spina for your guide, prepare for an amazing experience!! We spent 2+ hours with him being taught, entertained, and quizzed in the very best way. He wove facts and stories together, really bringing the history of Castel Sant'Angelo to life. We could've easily spent another 2 hours with him, what a fun afternoon. Wear comfortable shoes and bring a water bottle. Our day was very hot. There is a small cafe and sit down restaurant inside the castle though, so you will have the opportunity for food/drinks after the tour. If you are able to request Vincenzo, I highly recommend you do!
