Silvia the tour guide was very professional and conducted the tour excellently- she explained key aspects in detail and we had a very rewarding experience.

We had a great experience touring Castel Sant’Angelo with our guide, Salvadore, through City Wonders. Salvadore was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging, and did a wonderful job explaining the history and stories behind the castle. It was an extremely hot day, and many of the rooms inside Castel Sant’Angelo don’t have air conditioning, which made the tour challenging at times. Despite the heat, Salvadore was patient and kept the tour interesting and enjoyable. He made the experience much more bearable and did a great job keeping everyone engaged and comfortable throughout.

Castel Sant Angelo is a can’t miss item! We had a great tour guide, Paula, and really enjoyed learning the history of the castle. The views from the top are spectacular! You can see the whole city all the way to the Colosseum, and then Saint Peter’s Basilica in the other direction.

I didn’t chose the guide option, which may have offered some further historical information about the castle. Either way, this is worth seeing.

Extremely engaging and Knowledgeable tour guide. I our questions were answered. Only down side was she waked for another person to join our group who didn’t show do we got a late start.

Having a the small group experience was great at this location. The tour guide was able to be heard, was a delight and full of great information. Though I wish I wrote her name down to be able to give her the credit she deserves. The site itself offers absolutely amazing views of the city. We had a minor miss cue as the app gave a different meet up location than TripAdvisor and the email confirms, but we were able to get it sorted.

We have used City Wonders to book tours on all of our 3 trips to Italy. They are always so organized and professional, and we have never had a bad experience with one of their guides. Silvia was our guide for Castel Sant’Angelo and it ended up just our family of 4 due to no one else booking the same time slot! She was so knowledgeable and engaging with my kids, especially my 10 year old who had a lot of questions. I will always recommend booking with City Wonders!!

This tour was an amazing hidden gem! The views from the top of Castel Sant Angelo were incredible! Sylvia, our tour guide was engaging and really made history come alive for us and for our teenage daughter! We would highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants to get a deeper understanding of ancient Roman history.

We booked the tour with city wonders and at the start I was a bit apprehensive about the duration, I didn't think it would be enough time... but I'm happy to report i was wrong, the guide was a living breathing encyclopedia, her knowledge was astounding. Covering even more than just the castle!! I brought my teenage daughter, who's attention span isnt the best, and even she never became bored! The best thing was that even though the tour was an hour, we were able to stay in the Castel at our leisure once it ended. Couldn't recommend the tour and city wonders enough, fantastic value for money!!
