We had a great trip and Alessio our tour guide was fantastic. He was knowledgeable, funny and a total joy to talk with and learn about the local area. We did a tour of Florence with beautiful viewpoints, and then he took us to Casa Emma, where a winery with fantastic views and wine. I highly suggest this trip

If you are nervous about booking this outside of a cruise line don’t be! This was the highlight of our trip! Alessio was such a great host and our wine tasting adventure at Casa Emma was fantastic. Definitely recommend this tour!

Our guide was very knowledgeable and got us to Florence quickly and safe. The wine tasting was very good and a taste lunch. Didn’t like the vineyard assuming that we would buy their wines.

The tour organizer contacted me the night before and kindly let me know I had accidentally put Livorno Port as our pickup instead of La Spezia Port. We had originally planned to go to Florence from Livorno, but she assured me it was no problem and promised to make sure we had a fantastic day. She suggested changing the itinerary to avoid too much driving from La Spezia, and told us to leave it to her. Our driver, Emmanuel, picked us up promptly and took us to Portovenere for breakfast, followed by a leisurely stroll through the beautiful town and some shopping. Next, we visited Rio Maggiore, wandering the steep, narrow streets before enjoying a refreshing swim right off the rocks in the crystal-clear water. After a slow, relaxing afternoon, we headed back to Portovenere for a fantastic lunch and gelato. This unexpected day turned out to be our favorite tour of the entire trip! Emanuele was laid-back, accommodating, and made the whole experience feel effortless and special. We couldn’t have asked for a better day or guide.

It was an amazing excursion! We saw beautiful sites in Florence and had an amazing lunch at Casa Ella Winery. So glad we did this!

Flexibility is a great reason to take a private tour - 6 of us had a fabulous tour of Florence and then to a family farm winery for a delicious lunch and tasting 6 types of Casa Emma wines. It was a perfect day with wonderful driver Claudio.

Manuel picked us up from our cruise ship. He took us shopping and we had our private winery tour, WITH THE OWNERS! It was our funnest day of our trip. I highly recommend this experience. Nothing could top this.

Claudio kicked off our cruise excursions with a masterful day of sights, food and wine. The views of Florence were amazing and then he took us to the fabulous Casa Emma in Tuscany. The entire day set a massively high bar for the rest of our cruise excursions. He was incredibly warm with our group the entire time.

This was a great tour and overall experience. We were picked up in a private van (4 couples). We spent the morning in Florence sightseeing and doing a little shopping. We went to a local family winery for lunch and wine tasting. Amazing! I felt like this setting was straight out of a magazine. Our guide was personable, knowledgeable about the area and funny. Excellent service, this may have been my favorite day!

Alessio was outstanding. We can’t say enough good things about him! Super knowledgeable, attentive, funny, patient, manages time well. Wants everyone on the tour to have the best experience possible. Excellent selection for casa Emma lunch and wine tasting. Took me to a great jewelry shop with reasonable prices and excellent customer service. Every tour should be this fun!! Awesome with our 4 year old as well!
