My husband and I loved this unique experience. The guides shared amazing stories from their tales at sea as we ventured between the various tour points. We saw bald eagles and got to experience what real crabbing on the big seas is like. A highlight of the tour is the opportunity to handle various crabs and other sea critters. Overall a fun way to spend a few hours in Ketchikan!

Money well spent. Wonderful time learning fishing techniques and hearing about personal experiences from the crew.

Amazing experience. The guys were fantastic, and they described the rich history of crabbing in the Bering Sea and some very personal stories. Dress warmly. And if you want to stay out of the rain, take a seat on the lower level

Looking for something to do in Ketchikan, Alaska? Take a look at the Bering Sea Fisherman's Crab Tour. This crab boat was in Season 2 of Deadliest Catch on the Discovery Channel where it was hit by a rogue wave and survived. Sept of '26 was my 3rd time booking this fabulous experience because that's how good it is. You get to see how they fish, experience a hands-on with crabs, starfish and a few other critters. Icing on the cake is pulling up by an island and watch the eagles fly as fish are tossed into the water. We were also lucky enough to find a humpback that was traveling through. Always a great experience. And for those that like crab you can purchase crab legs onboard. If you book a VIP I believe crab is included. Save yourself some greenbacks and book directly with the company. The cruise lines charge more. Side note: It's one boat. Those that book with the cruise line and those who book directly will be on the same boat. If it's late rest assured everyone will get back to the ship on time and if they're late the ships will wait. So have no fear booking directly. Happy sailing.

This tour was fantastic from start to finish. It was educational and entertaining and the guides were terrific. I learned so much and had fun while learning. If you only go on one excursion in Ketchikan, make it this one!

I can honestly say this was the highlight of our 3 week trip to Canada and Alaska we watch Deadliest Catch on tv and it was brilliant to experience crab fishing the staff were excellent very informative and they’re life stories were amazing and very touching it’s a must tour in Keitchen

This was a great excursion!! Boat ride with lots of eagle viewing and learned all about the life of a crab fisherman! We got to see and hold many sea creatures. The staff was engaging and friendly. Highly recommend!

Really enjoyed my trip on the Aleutian Ballad. Captain and crew took good care of us and really Enjoyed the hands on experience. Seeing eagles was a great bonus.

Never a dull moment. The guides (working members of the boat) were engaging and did a great job explaining/demonstrating how a working crab boat operates. They also made us feel like welcomed guests. I highly recommend this tour.
