Austin was our guide he was very patient and personable, he explained the e-bikes well as we were traveling with some who had never used one before and he put them at ease. During the hike Austin shared his knowledge of the forest, beach, salmon, etc… and answered our many questions. It was a great experience all around.

Ketchikan was our first port of call on our cruise. We knew we wanted to do an excursion to get to know the town a little better rather than just walking around the shops near the port. We also wanted to explore the natural beauty of Ketchikan, and this tour was perfect for that. We met up with our group after we disembarked, a few minutes walk from the dock. From there, we hopped onto a bus that took us to the company's site, where the electric bikes were waiting. After trying on the helmets and practicing with the bikes to get accustomed with the gears and power settings, we were off. We rode about five miles on the side of a rode, following an L-shaped path. That took us to a trail into the Tongass National Forest. We parked the bikes onto the side and proceeded into the forest on foot. Our guide shared lots of interesting facts about this temperate rain forest, as well as about some of the wildlife that call it home. Everything was carpeted in green, and there is a hush to the cool fresh air. Later, our guide brought us to the shore, where we were lucky enough to see a humpback whale bubble-net feeding. Because we spent so much time at the shore, though, we didn't have much time to hike any deeper into the woods. No two hikes are the same, as it depends on the weather and other surprises that nature has to offer. After we rode back to headquarters, we were treated with delicious smoked salmon and salmon dip, along with refreshing cold drinks. Then we hopped back onto the bus where we were dropped off at the same location as we were picked up. This was a pleasant excursion that gave us a taste of Tongass Forest. I recommend it for anyone who enjoys nature. No need to feel intimidated as the biking is easy, especially since it is an e-bike, and the hike is not strenuous at all. There are some stairs on the path, but that is as far as level of difficulty goes.

So beautiful and lots of fun! Great tour guides and loved the short hike. Amazing trees and info about the forest! We ate lots of berries we picked along the path, soaked in the fresh air and ended with delicious smoked salmon.

Amazing! I was nervous about riding the e-bike but picked it up fairly quickly. The ladies who ran the excursion were fabulous, so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable!

If every tour guide were this awesome, I’d sign up for tours every weekend! They were funny, knowledgeable, and somehow managed to keep the whole group entertained while teaching us so much. We laughed, learned, and never once checked the time—which says a lot! Thanks for making this one of the highlights of our trip. Five stars aren’t enough!

All 3 tours we had were far better than any guided trips we’ve had in the past. Our guides, Jen and Anja, were easy-going and a lot of fun. At the Clover Passage dock we were matched with sleek tandem kayaks well-suited for our abilities. After the brief orientation and thorough safety talk, we felt confident to safely paddle anywhere. Our two kayak tours (Clover Passage and Orca Cove) furnished us plenty of beautiful scenes for great sights and photos. We had 2 full hours of pure enjoyment on both. The Orca Cove tour begins onboard a spacious catamaran anchored in a secluded cove. The equipment is superior quality; including waterproof leggings and jackets that kept us dry and warm. Anika was a highly informed and fun guide on our e-bike/hike tour. The bikes were in good condition and simple to make the 5-mile ride each way. We’ll remember the rainforest hike for the fascinating ways the salmon play such an important role in the life cycle of everything within it. Amazing tours! Thank you!
