Amazing tour, Raj our captain and guide was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about whales. He was also very conscientious about not over stimulating them - we viewed the whales only when there were just a few boats near by. The seats and the ride in the boat is fabulous ! Exhilarating and relaxing all at the same time !!

This experience was more than I expected! Michael was very knowledgeable and drove us in different directions from some other boats which led to seeing these majestic whales up close. The boat ride was also so fun!

My boyfriend and I booked this whale watching tour because we were told there was a 98% chance of seeing whales and that sightings were essentially guaranteed. We were incredibly excited—it was one of the main reasons we wanted to do this while visiting Victoria. Unfortunately, after 3.5 hours out on the water, we didn’t see a single whale. Not one. We understand that these are wild animals and nothing can ever be 100% guaranteed, but the tour is marketed with such high confidence that it set expectations we felt were impossible to meet in our case. Spending several hours on the water without seeing any whales was extremely disappointing, especially given the cost of the tour. The company did offer us a redemption voucher to come back another time, but that’s not a realistic solution for travelers. We don’t live in Victoria, and there’s no telling when—or if—we’ll ever be back. A voucher is essentially worthless to us. We requested a refund but were denied. We left feeling like we paid for an experience we never actually received. If you’re visiting from out of town, just be aware that despite the advertised odds, there’s still a chance you’ll spend hours on the water and leave without seeing any whales—and without getting your money back.

While our tours have excellent whale sighting success rates, any percentages or numbers shared would only reflect historical data and are not a promise that whales will be seen on every departure. We explain both on our website and during the booking process that wildlife is unpredictable and sightings can never be 100% guaranteed. This is why we offer our Whale Sightings Guarantee, which allows guests to return for another tour with the base fare waived. We’re sorry that a return tour is not a practical option for you. Our captain was Michael and he showed us the best experience possible! Found us a spot surrounded by 20 plus humpback whales.

We had the best time with our captain Michael! He detoured to see an amazing humpback whale and went that but further to a location where we were surrounded by at least 20/30 humpbacks. Highly recommend!

The most amazing experience with Michael. He was so knowledgeable and took us to a spot with 10+ humpbacks! We got to see a baby humpback breach and it was literally the most incredible thing! He let us admire and never felt rushed! Thank you again for such an incredible experience!

Michael was an incredible guide, making the Zodiac tour smooth and adventurous. We were able to see killer whales, humpbacks, sea lions and the Snow Birds show all on our trip. Highly recommend!
