Well what a day we have had today, visiting places we have never been to before in the lake Como and lake Lugano area. We met our guide Debbie in Menaggio where we were had croissants with crema and coffee with views of lake Como. Then we were taken to a mountain village called Claino which is about 30 mins drive from Menaggio.This village is so unusual as it has murals painted on walls of many of the buildings, there are 64 of them in all and there is QR code on each one which gives information about them. After being given enough time stroll and taking in fantastic views we descended to the town of Osteno where we had coffee alongside lake Lugano. This was a vibrant lakeside town. Then we went to Grotto Buba for dinner which serves excellent local food and is in between mountain villages of Naggio and Velzo. Then we couldn’t forego a taste of gelato from Porlezza, what a choice and excellent service. My choice chocolate sundae with cherry brandy liqueur. All in all this was a fantastic day, we were not rushed and very relaxed. Debbie was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend if you want to discover hidden places and taste of Italy.

What a fantastic experience from start to finish! Everything was taken care of for the day and it was so nice to just be able to fully switch off and just 'be' in the experiences rather than have to think about coordinating travel and locations etc. We genuinely felt like a local for the day, not a tourist, seeing places that truly felt like hidden gems and the 'real' Italy. The cost of the day included everything from the travel to all the food, drink and snacks which was amazing. Lunch was simply stunning with local dishes and a breathtaking view over Lake Como. Debbie is so easy to get along with and generously shares her insights and wisdom from making this place her home. Her enthusiasm and love for this area is infectious and we came away with a totally new appreciation of Lake Como and it's surrounding area. 100% our favourite experience of Lake Como!
