Amazing experience from start to finish! Mittenwald was absolutely beautiful, the walking trail was fascinating, and the lake was simply magical. Everything was perfectly organized, and our driver was friendly and professional. A fantastic day and highly recommended!
We had a very good time with the driver and guide, she was very polite, helpful and well know of the area. The Mittenwald is magnificent like a fairytale, the Partach nice for hiking and the lake eibsee the most beautiful lake that I have seen in Europe. The trip worth it, we did not have press of time. The car was clean.
We waited at the pick up spot shortly before pick up time. We received a message that the driver was going to be 10 minutes late. After waiting 20 minutes at the pick up spot we received a call that they could not pick us up and that we needed to walk 12 minutes away to meet him. We started walking in the direction provided but asked for a location pin. He responded not to go to the location provided. Now 30 minutes late, we were told to walk to one of two ubahn stops and take a train to a pick up location which would have taken at least another 30 minutes to get to. Mind you we were at the agreed upon pickup spot and no driver arrived. After all the issues, we asked for a refund which left us nothing planned for the day. They refused a refund, stating that the issue was our fault. I wouldn’t bother with this group as they didn’t provide the service paid for, we’e incredibly rude, and are refusing to give a refund. I was wary of booking something without reviews. I should’ve known better.
We would like to clarify the facts for future guests. The driver and the guide arrived in the pickup area before the scheduled 08:40 pickup time. Access to the hotel was restricted by police due to road closures for a major event in Munich, and the driver was instructed to leave the area multiple times. The guests were contacted and offered alternative meeting points, including accessible U-Bahn locations, but they declined. The driver remained available until 10:05. Viator reviewed the situation from both sides and decided not to issue a refund. We also have photographic evidence and records of our communication with the guests that demonstrate that the statements in this review are false. We understand the inconvenience, but the situation was caused by temporary police restrictions outside our control. We wish you all the best of your rest of your trip
Excellent experience! We visited Eibsee, Partnachklamm, and Mittenwald by private car and private driver/guide. The guide was very kind, helpful, and knowledgeable about the area, making the whole trip comfortable and enjoyable. The private car was very comfortable and gave us the freedom to enjoy the journey without rush. The landscapes were wonderful and the experience is truly worth it!
