The tour was really well organized. People from Mentor Reisen were so professional, nice, emphatic, responsable and take good care of all of us. The tour guide, Cansel, was the best guide ever, so kind and nice with the group. I recommend it so highly!

Cansel was an incredible tour guide, and I would not want to do this day trip without her. Every time I wasn’t sure where to go, she showed up with her flag! Aside from the amazing guide, I think going with a group like this is really the way to see Neuschwanstein. It was extremely crowded with people and hard to navigate on your own sometimes. Cansel kept our group and other people moving through lines to make the experience better for everyone. Linderhof was absolutely beautiful and worth seeing. My only complaint with the tour is wishing I’d spent more time there. Your time inside the main castle will be brief, but I think it’s very worth it. Tickets for both the palace and castle were 37€ per person, paid for on the bus with card. They had drinks on the bus for purchase with cash. I’d recommend the tour to friends and family and try to tell them to get on Cansel’s bus!

There is a lot of walking and stairs. Wear comfortable shoes! Walked about 5 miles throughout the day. Long day but well worth it. Our guide, Sabine was wonderful! Bus was very comfortable and offered us snacks and drinks throughout the day.

If you’re looking for a “free and easy” style tour, this is a good option. The tour operator mainly takes care of the transportation and logistics, while the tour guide acts more like a helpful coordinator throughout the day—making sure everyone is well taken care of, giving advice on walking routes, helping with restaurant arrangements, keeping track of timing, and providing general guidance. However, if you’re expecting a traditional guided tour with detailed explanations about the history, culture, or significance of the places visited, this may not be the right tour for you. There is very little commentary or historical information provided. You are mostly given the freedom to explore the attractions on your own. For me, the tour was still very enjoyable because the two main highlights—Linderhof Palace and Neuschwanstein Castle—were absolutely beautiful and well worth visiting. If you prefer less talking and more time to explore independently, this style of tour works very well. One important thing to be aware of is the amount of walking involved. You should be reasonably fit and comfortable with at least 2–3 hours of walking throughout the day, including quite a bit of uphill and downhill walking. During summer, the heat can make it even more challenging, so comfortable shoes and being prepared for the weather are essential. Overall, I enjoyed the experience, especially because of the beautiful destinations, but I would describe this more as an organised day trip with transportation and a helpful tour coordinator rather than a traditional guided sightseeing tour.

We enjoyed this trip. We booked the regular tour but were upgraded to the luxury tour and ended up seeing the grotto at Linderhof Palace in addition to the Palace and the Castle. To upgrade, we paid an extra 30 euros for this part of the trip but they did not charge us anything else to upgrade. We enjoyed the free drinks and treats included in the luxury tour but the grotto was sort of a crazy random thing. Linderhof Palace was ok but we all loved Neuschwanstein. The best thing there was the audio tour so that you didn’t have to strain to hear the tour guide. Our guide Sabine made it easy and we never got lost or felt stressed about time. It was nice not having to drive or find parking or figure things out ourselves. Sabine was very friendly and had a great sense of humor. Definitely would recommend this tour!

It was a wonderful day, my son and I went., Elof was our guide.and he was great. Informative, but not too much, so very relaxing. Driver was great also.
