I want to begin by saying that Eduardo did an exceptional job so I do not want this review to reflect him with the job that he did. He was magnificent! However, the instructions at the meeting place were changed three times. When we got there, we were asked to pay an additional $40 per person for some gas charge that was not very transparent on our original reservation. So that was $80 in addition to the 410 it already cost me. It definitely was not a $500 experience. Viator definitely gauged us on this experience and I will not be booking with them after this trip. Very disappointed on the way that they hid this charge until we got there.

The updated meeting point, just a 10-minute walk away, was shared in advance due to recent pier changes made by local authorities. Despite this, the tour started on time. We’re sorry the $40 fuel fee caused disappointment, although it was stated in the booking details.

Great experience!
Highly recommend this tour. We were safely flying to Belagio and Varenna on a speed boat sailed by Eduardo. Each stop he helped us in and out of the boat, and picked us up precisely on time. It was well organized. Absolutely beautiful views, and safe!

Stay Away
So we showed up to the dock and to our surprise the boat that they advertise on this listing is not the boat that the excursion is actually on. They advertise a nice state of the art fiberglass boat. The actual boat is an old wood boat (see pic attached). When we brought it to their attention, they said sorry but now this is the boat and tried to tell us it was an upgrade. It was definitely no upgrade.
So we continued on the excursion to Bellagio which was the first stop. They told us to meet back at the drop off point in one hour. We went for lunch in Bellagio, but the service was miserable and took the whole hour. We rushed back to the boat arriving a few minutes late and the boat had left us. I called the boat operator who claimed that should not have happened, and he would reach out to the boat to come pick us up after the second stop in Varenna which we ended up missing. Anyway, after over an hour the boat came and got us and took us back. Keep in mind this was a semi-private excursion with only 9 passengers.
So, stay away from these guys, they are not advertising with integrity and Viator bares some accountability here since they are allowing this on their platform. What you see is not what you get. The fact that they left us was shocking after paying so much and the whole operation was rush, rush, rush. Definitely do not recommend, this operation.

Captain Edoardo!
We had a fun and very comfortable boat ride with Edoardo! He paused to share pieces of history and crusied to the destinations with our favorite songs. He had great recommendations for the village stops and made for a wonderful visit on the water.

Unforgettable experience
My husband and I booked a four-hour tour on Lake Como and chose Super Lario attracted by the beauty of their boat. Our expectations were largely exceeded by reality: brand new luxury boat on which we were welcomed with extreme kindness and professionalism. The captain, very nice, very attentive to our needs and prepared, led us to discover the beauties of the lake giving us explanations on the places we gradually observed. We visited Villa del Balbianello, Bellagio and finally Varenna and during the tour we were offered an excellent Lamborghini wine (Grechetto del Trasimeno) that made our day even more exclusive and unforgettable. We highly recommend Super Lario!
