OMG! Do this!! Mona Lisa was absolutely fantastic! We had the absolute best time!’ Highlight of my vacation! I’m in love with what I made.

We had a lot of fun. It was a unique one on one experience with an accomplished artist. The experience began with a tour of Maui Mona Lisa’s home studio. We got to see some of her finished work on our way to the mermaid room. The mermaid room was colorful, bright, and welcoming. Once there we were offered a drink. Then we chose a hair clip base. From there we were able to begin designing, with Mona Lisa’s assistance. There were several little boxes on the table filled with many different vintage and recycled pieces (such as broken jewelry and old buttons, beads, and crystals) that we could use, along with seashells and sea glass and other treasures found on the beach. It was very rewarding to take what others might see as trash and create something beautiful. She showed us some of her techniques and then assisted us in putting together the clips. It was very detailed, using lots of little pieces (I think anyone under about 12 would have difficulty, I’d recommend this more for adults) Once it was assembled we got a little box to put it in to protect it while it cured. Overall it was more detailed and hands on than expected, in a good way! It was a lot of fun and a chance to stretch creative muscles. While we were working we got to chat with Mona Lisa a bit about her experience as a working artist. This is not an experience that one can find just anywhere, it’s incredibly one of a kind. My sister and I loved the experience so much, we actually booked the class again and went back to make more. If you’re looking to do something unique and creative and leave with a gorgeous piece made sustainably, this is an experience for you.

One of the most memorable activities I have done on Maui! Mermaid hair jewelry workshop gave me inspiration and was a relaxing experience. I’m 6 months pregnant and this was the perfect afternoon to create something very unique and elegant. I signed up for the plumeria hair clip. My sister also signed up but she upgraded to the mermaid crown Headband piece option. The upgrade came with snacks. Mona Lisa is hands on with each step. The jewelry studio and garden oasis added to the experience. The upgrade also came with tea and charcuterie.

I was blown away! My friends book this for me to celebrate my birthday. It was magical. We signed up for the upgrade to make the Mermaid crown /headband piece. The upgrade comes with snacks and and there were cupcakes and a personalized Birthday Sign. The Garden Oasis was set up with all the high end beads and crystals and shells with a festive vibe. Exceptional value for everything you get.

Perfect Mother’s Day gift! Me and my mom created beautiful headbands from brass enameled flowers, beads and shells. Very high quality and a treasure trove of jewelry pearls and hundreds of beads and shells to select from. The Garden Oasis was relaxing and breezy. Classes are private so that was special. Mona Lisa was the most joyful, friendly and helpful teacher! So much patience and willingness to help and teach. I highly recommend all of her for Art class!!
