It is worth spending an evening appreciating music, dance, and the atmosphere. Certainly, they were not professionals, but overall it was interesting, and we appreciated it even more when the next day we saw at the temple the sculptures of Hindu history that were very important to them. The ending was softened; at the temple, it is quite different, but one can understand the effort to represent in 2026 to an audience that is culturally very distant and increasingly a "fast consumer" a cornerstone of Indonesian Hindu culture.
Amazing evening starting off with a sumptuous buffet and cared for by friendly, attentive staff. The welcome drink of a spiced 'tea' embraced you from the moment you walked in. The food was delicious and ranged from local cuisine to world favourites. Desserts had a local flare accompanied by fresh fruit. The show was spectacular, costumes were fabulous, music mesmerising! The stars of the show created the beautiful story with its rhythms, and perfectly captured the emotions of the scenes. The pyrotechnics were spectacular. Hats off to the producers, directors and all involved. If you have 1 evening in Jogja, this is the place to be!
The show was good with great costumes, story and some humor. But right on stage, one of the female singers was texting on her phone at least seven times. If something in her life is THAT urgent, she should be out of sight. Very distracting and annoying.
Very nice dance performance, easy to follow the course of events thanks to the enclosed English program!!!
Food was help yourself buffet which was ok. Seating a little uncomfortable even with the sears that had a back. Fortunately we were given the plot in English otherwise it would have been difficult to follow.
I found the show very long. The dance was not exceptional but the costumes very beautiful
Outstanding the best Ramayana show I've ever seen.........so not miss it, it had pyrotechnics as well, , and you can take pictures with the dancers after
Tickets were easily available online, good reception, the food was varied & tasty. The performance a must see, in short everything was well arranged.
