Best Food Tour we have done, and we have done many. Having a real local with worldly travel experience as your guide made a big difference. Provided a great intro to Icelandic culture, history and food. Stops had charm and diverse culinary delights. You won’t be hungry when you are done.

Felt that the choice of restaurants and locations we visited really showed us the true Icelandic culture. The guide also was very knowledgeable on the history and culture of Iceland. It was a great way to get a real taste of the city literally and figuratively.

Great food and drink tour! Our guide, Nordic Nonsense, was incredibly knowledgeable and did a wonderful job sharing the history behind each restaurant and bakery we visited, as well as the history of Reykjavík and Iceland. The variety of food and drinks was fantastic and gave us the opportunity to try a wide range of traditional and modern Icelandic dishes. We really enjoyed our time on the tour and would highly recommend it to anyone spending time in Reykjavík!

Atli, the native Icelander, was a fantastic tour guide on our Reykjavik food tour. We enjoyed the food, drink, and especially Atli's tour filled with historical facts as well as personal knowledge and experience growing up and living in Iceland and tracing his family roots to the first settlers. We learned about traditional foods and were pleased to see the highlights of historical sites and governmental buildings - there were many historically significant points of interest that we would have otherwise walked by without realizing. The food and drink left us filled, happy, and feeling as though we had an authentic Iceland experience. Thanks Atli for a great tour! This tour will give you the fix experience as well as the key points in the city center - highly recommend!

We had a small group and a great time with our guide, Atli, on the food and drink tour. He took us to some great places where we shared food and drinks while he told us about the history and stories of Reykjavik and Iceland along the way. He also answered about a million questions from us! Atli made the evening feel relaxed, fun, and personal. It felt more like exploring Reykjavik and its traditional foods and drinks with a local than being on a typical organized tour. We would definitely recommend this tour and Atli as your guide. It was one of our favorite experiences in Iceland.

A fantastic tour of downtown Reykjavik with wide range and broad selection of Icelandic food. Jon is an excellent guide and gave us so much information about the history and culture of Iceland. We started off with local beer tastings and traditional lamb and vegetable soup. Both were amazing. Also tried the fermented shark and a wonderfully soft rye bread. Then an assortment of baked goods and coffee at Baka Baka, one of the oldest bakeries in the city. We sampled the famous lamb hot dogs and then sat down at Tivoli for fresh fish caught that morning, with more beer and wine pairings. Wrapping up with fancy cocktails at Jungle bar where Jon served us freshly made cheese and jam from an Icelandic farm that his wife's family operates. Needless to say everything was really delicious and Jon was so friendly and accommodating. He told us so many stories about Icelandic culture and we peppered him with question after question. He also took up to various sites and gave us the history of how Iceland gained independence, which shops have the best hand knit sweaters, and a local artist who makes uniqur pottery and cups. We take food tours in every new city we visit and this was one of the best ones we've been on. Highly recommended.

This was an excellent food tour. Our guide, Atli, was very knowledgeable, informative, friendly, and made everything fun. The tour had just the right number of stops at different restaurants. - and even a hotdog stand so that we could try one of the famous Icelandic hot dogs. Just a great mixture of traditional Icelandic foods and a variety of perspectives on the Reykjavík food scene. Although I would not recommend the fermented shark, it was still a must do! I did this tour on my first night in the city, and it was a great introduction.

The tour introduces you to a wide variety of Icelandic food, and the general food scene in Reykjavík. Oh, and it’s also very fun!

Best food tour I have ever been on! The guide, a co-owner of Nordic Nonsense was great. The food was not all delicious, especially the fermented shark, but we tried it anyway. The baked goods were fabulous and the spirits even better. Highly recommended.
