【岡田】京都日本語書道体験（書道）

The instructor was very kind and patient. My partner and I really enjoyed getting to try our hand at calligraphy.

The calligraphy class we took was a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing experience. The small number meant it felt really personal and enhanced the experience. Yuka and Aya explained the Japanese characters and the written characters and demonstrated how to take time and care with each aspect of the process from preparing the ink block to the brush strokes for each part. Taking time to quietly focus on this was both calming and relaxing and having a piece of calligraphy (along with the earlier attempts!) to take home is a wonderful keepsake of a unique experience. I would highly recommend this class.

The whole experience was great. The two young ladies were very knowledgeable about calligraphy and very patient with our young kids. They had excellent English and kept the attention of our 11 year-old and 6 year-old twins. They were very encouraging and enthusiastic. Our kids loved the experience.

Brilliant activity. Authentic, informative, encouraging and fun. Would definitely add this to your plans.

We had a wonderful time learning the art of calligraphy. The guides were very patient and we left with a beautiful piece of art to remember our time in Kyoto.
