Kazuki is a wonderful teacher who is very generous with his knowledge. He is very skilled, patient and kind, and you can clearly see his passion for this traditional Japanese practice. Highly recommend to anyone who is looking for an introduction to Japanese sumi ink and calligraphy.
Such an amazing and meaningful experience. I went on my birthday and it made the day so special. We learnt so much and it was one of the best experiences we’ve had in Japan. Kazuki was very helpful, friendly and so welcoming and even got me a birthday treat. It was 1.5 hours for 8000yen for two of us. His craft is truly a wonder to watch and we were very grateful to try and learn it. We had so much fun and tried different characters and learnt how to paint kanji. The fans we got to keep are very special to us and beautiful souvenirs. I cannot recommend this experience enough.
It was an amazing experience for me and my wife. Kazuki San made the lesson easy to understand and follow. He taught us some history behind the philosophy of calligraphy as well. We paid 8000 YEN for 2 and it was definitely worth the price. The whole class was around 1,5 hours
The experience took place in a beautiful traditional tatami room, which made it feel so relaxing and authentic. The location is also super convenient, easy to get to. You get to take home your own original calligraphy piece, and I really felt like I learned a wonderful piece of Japanese culture along the way.
He explained so clearly why calligraphy is such an important part of Japanese culture. Even though you get to learn real, solid fundamentals, his friendly teaching style makes the whole experience feel relaxed and easy to enjoy. He even helped me find a kanji that matched my own personal motto — such a special touch!
