I would define the Rocinha favela as fascinating. Something that in all my travels I had not yet seen. It is a leap into a parallel reality that shows a side of life that we Westerners know too little about. This was possible thanks to Andrea and our guide Gilva who, with his super Italian, was ready to recount and describe the details of this world with a very attentive and expert eye. With the motorcycles we arrived all the way up and then we walked down in 3 hours through alleys and life flowing by. In the end, back down, Gilva waited with us for an Uber and we said goodbye.
