The best experience we had in Rio. Our guide Daniel was brilliant didn’t rush us about and gave us time to enjoy all the different experiences our highlight was getting the chance to play football within the favela which we will never forget

If you want to book a favela tour, it is definitely this one. And Yuri is your man, he did a fantastic job. He told us so much about the favela that after this tour you have a completely different picture of it. We felt safe throughout, he knew so many people there, knew where to leave your phone in your pocket, where to get the best Acai and much more. My best experience in Rio. Roberto was an excellent guide. It turned out only the 2 of us booked but the tour went ahead anyway which we appreciated. We felt very safe the whole time. The motorcycle taxi was a bit scary and my husband’s driver misjudged a turn and hit a wall - honestly we were extremely lucky and my husband got away with some bruising - no helmets so. Olive been MUCH more serious.

We had Carlos as our tour guide and he was fantastic. Took the time to answer all our questions and showed us all sides of the favella. We went with our two daughters, Ava 15 and Sofiah 11, I would highly recommend it as a tour for children of their ages with their parents. Booking with united tours was easy and I love the fact that they give back to favella, something that was really important to us when booking. The highlight of our trip to Brazil so far. Thank you soo much to Junior! I have got amazing experience of the real life in Rio. Junior gave me a great view of life in Rocinha. He was so kind and flexible! He showed me all I was interested in and even more! It was a great fun! I can not recommend enough! If you are in Rio, its definitely must to do!

Roberto was a fantastic guide, collected me on time from my hotel (as planned), he actually lives very close to Rocinha Favela, so knew exactly the best way to see and experience this area. He had organised scooters to give us a lift to the top, so we started with a coffee with the most incredible views. He is such a nice guy and shared with me the way of life of the favela as we slowly walked the tiny back streets and stairs back down, so so glad I got off the tourist path (as beautiful as Rio is) to also see this neighbourhood. Highly highly recommend this time and this tour. Thank you Roberto, I will never forget Rio! Amazing city.

Excellent tour of the pacified Rocinha favela, one of the largest in the world. The guide Juninho is a really good guy, and was very kind in explaining everything to us, taking us through several stops including watching a capoeira performance, walking through the crazy alleys of the favela, ending casually with a football match on a small pitch within it. Unique experience, being in contact with a world totally far from our eyes. Super safe tour, I recommend it to everyone

Excellent tour, with very friendly, knowledgable guide. Experienced the atmosphere, culture and street art in this vibrant community. Starting with an exhilarating ride to the top of the favela on a local motorcycle taxi, then wandering down through a variety of different streets, stopping at key vantage points for some amazing photo opportunities.
