Had the best time with Top Cozumel Tours, our guides were awesome, music was the best and food was great!! Met lots of cool people. Highly recommended. The water was really clear and you see a lot of marine life on the reefs, including sting rays when you stop for lunch.
We had a GREAT time. We got a little storm but that just made it more special. The catamaran was not full like other boats we saw. The crew was amazing and did everything they could to make it a memorable experience for us all.

My friend and I really enjoyed our experience and that’s considering the monsoon we had to go through on the way back. Pros: * the spots we went to were beautiful and were a nice mix of deep, mid, and shallow waters that just got more and more gorgeous the shallower we got. *The food and drink were delicious and for those nervous about eating ceviche from the sides of a boat in the heat (like I was), it was delicious and they also had fresh mango and pineapple as well as many non-alcoholic options for drinks. *The boat had bathrooms and lots of storage area. *There were 3 men running the excursion and they were all very nice. *The one guy captures great candid as well as staged photos and will take pictures of anything you would like. I’m so glad he did this as there were so many awesome photos to take but all of none turned out blurry using my iPhone inside a waterproof lanyard. He does offer several options to purchase the digital photos and it’s quick and easy to do. The photos are worth it! *At the last stop you get super up close to stingrays and other fish. We got to experience a family of stingrays tickling our feet (easy enough to Keri them away though if you are not into this). Cons: *We had to pay $17 (with tip) to take a 15 minute taxi ride to the meeting point and then $13 (I believe) more to enter the Money Bar Beach Club where the dock was. We then paid another $20 (with tip) to get back to our ship. Pickup should have been included. *It took over an hour in the boat to get to our first stop (and an hour to get back at the end). We had a stop midway where we picked a couple of people up that we had to wait for. Tips: *Try to see if there are any other people going so that you can share the taxi fees. *Ask about having less time at the first stop and more at the last. I felt like we could have used more time at the last stop and had a little too much time at the first stop. This isn’t to say I felt rushed, it’s just that the last stop was just so beautiful and the first stop, while beautiful, has you expending a lot of energy while in the water, so it’s not as relaxing as the last stop. *Wear sunscreen (reef safe) and apply more when you get to the last stop. I wore sunscreen but I guess it wore off by the time we got to the last stop so I unknowingly got super burned on the top half that was out of the water. *Bring a towel. This will help to provide cushion for the long boat ride and will come in handy if you need to cover up during a storm or use on the platform hammocks to keep from getting a checkerboard pattern on your skin.

The mix of deep, mid, and shallow water stops building up to the magical shallow waters of El Cielo is exactly the experience Top Cozumel Tours designs on every departure and we love that the progression came through so beautifully for you and your friend! We do want to clarify a few of the points you raised so that future Guests have the most accurate picture possible. Regarding transportation, our Tour Description and Inclusions clearly outline that transportation to and from The Money Bar is not included. Every Guest also receives a detailed email with meeting directions at the time of booking which includes this information along with reminders about the National Marine Park Fee, sunscreen, and what to bring. Regarding the $13.00 entry fee at The Money Bar, this is not an entrance or pier fee charged by us — it is the mandatory National Marine Park Fee, a Federal Government Tax applied to all Visitors accessing the protected reef zones of Cozumel. This fee is clearly disclosed in our Tour Description and in the booking confirmation email every Guest receives. Top Cozumel Tours does not collect or retain any portion of this fee. Regarding tipping, this is always entirely optional and at the discretion of each Guest. Regarding towels, these are noted as not included in the Tour Description and we always encourage Guests to bring their own — great tip for keeping comfortable on the boat and protecting against that checkerboard hammock pattern! Regarding sunscreen, our booking confirmation email specifically reminds Guests that sunscreen use is restricted in the Marine Park and suggests bringing long sleeve clothing and hats as the best protection for the day. Regarding the navigation time, the reefs at Palancar, Colombia, and El Cielo are located offshore and sailing to them is the only way to access these stunning marine areas. The travel time is an inherent and necessary part of the journey. Regarding customizing time at each stop, as this is a shared group tour the itinerary is designed to offer the best balanced experience at each location for all participants. For Guests who would like full flexibility over their time at each stop we always recommend our Exclusive Private Boat tours which allow for a completely personalized experience.
