It is expensive for what is it but the people, views of San Gimiginano, and the finished product were wonderful.

We enjoyed a fabulous experience leaning how to make the dough and then prepare the dough for making and cooking the pizza in a true wood burning oven. A what beautiful location and dinning a fresca was a wonderful experience. I would recommend this experience to anyone who desires an authentic pizza cooking experience.

Making pizza was in a fun and friendly atmosphere. It was a very informative and the view was spectacular.

I would rate this a 1000! I don’t typically right reviews but this was a truly amazing experience. The property was truly beautiful and Alessandro and Naomi were incredible teachers and hosts. They are building a wonderful business on Alessandro’s grandfather’s beautiful place. We cannot recommend this enough!

We spent a week in Tuscany for our honeymoon and I gotta say this was the most romantic experience yet. The vineyard was absolutely stunning (the perfect Tuscan home with the most perfect pine entrance and best view of San Gimignano) I mean the BEST view**** they have a beautiful garden where they grow onions and basil and other ingredients that you will use is the pizza making class. It doesn’t get any more perfect than that. Alessandro and his girlfriend Naomi were lovely and walked us step by step on how to make a pizza in a classic wooden oven. Then we enjoyed some wine, watched the sunset and smelled their Jasmin garde. It was the most romantic and magical experience. Worth every cent!

I have always wanted to treat myself to a hands-on experience like this and I found the perfect (and romantic!) opportunity for me and my boyfriend during this visit to Podere La Barbarella. I would say that making pizza no longer has secrets for us, we are very grateful to our teacher for the beautiful day and for everything he taught us - more than a lesson a pleasant evening with friends!

Such a fun experience! You are making pizza in an outdoor kitchen that’s covered which is nice in rain or shine. The views are stunning, the food and wine is great and the hosts are the best part. Definitely recommend booking while you are in San Gimignano!
