This coffee tour was great! It’s in the city so there was no need for 2-3 hour transportation. We even got to ride the local “tren vía” and the “teleférico.” There’s some uphill walking through Comuna 8 but Melisa explained the history of the place. We got to pick coffee off the plant, grind it and taste a fresh cup of coffee. This tour is great for coffee lovers or just coffee drinkers like me.
This tour was great! You take the tram to the cable cars. The cable cars will take you up to Comuna 8 where you will hear about the history of the owners of the coffee farm. You will get to experience first hand how to pick the coffee beans and how they then process them. It was truly an experience and everyone was so kind and knowledgeable. I would recommend this tour.
Fascinating and fun tour with a knowledgeable, relaxed and attentive guide (Dani). This is a city based coffee plantation tour, social history talk and youth education programme all rolled together! If you like initiatives that support a wider population over narrow over-tourism, this would also be a good choice. Only 3 people on our tour but this allowed us to glean so much depth when picking and processing the coffee cherries, walking the streets of Comuna 8 and riding the city transport together.
It was nice experience to see how they cultivated the coffee its was alittle bit hard to the stairs but i made it
It was a beautiful adventure, cable car ride and walk around a small area of a farm, the guide was knowledgeable and friendly. The coffee process was also interesting to learn about. I don’t think it was worth $55 though. Unless you love coffee I wouldn’t recommend it
Seeing and Learning how coffee is cultivated from start to finish at the highest regions of the country was both an experience and a history lesson. Melissa was our guide and though she lacked some formality, presentation and knowledge of the region she was still very kind and welcoming. You’ll hike the high regions, don a uniform, pick coffee beans, watch as they undergo the selection, washing, drying, and roasting of the best beans, and finally drink a cup while listening to a short seminar and how to find the best coffee to drink back home. Tips: Wear sunscreen, wear hiking shoes and light cargos and or dri fit pants and shirts. You’ll be in the bush!

This was one of my favorite tours in Medellin. The spectacular panoramic views from the mountainside and the cable car ride, the hands-on coffee lesson (we picked our own beans), the beautiful and peaceful landscape of the coffee farm, and last but not least - our energetic, fun and infinitely helpful guide (Valentina),

Annie was an incredible guide, so kind and energetic. The experience felt so authentic and so beautiful to see the social impact for the local organizations. Getting out of the city and into the neighborhoods of the mountains was something special.
