A great experience, the lake is beautiful and so peaceful, then it’s down the rapids of the river, which is exhilarating! Our guide, Gavin was excellent and very knowledgeable.

My wife/I chose this excursion through Royal Caribbean Cruises. My wife, 65, was a little anxious when the tour said rapids. After listening to the instructions from our raft guide, Caden, she was much more at ease. Caden was very experienced as a guide as well as professional, communicative, and funny. This trip is a must if you want to experience the wonders of Mendenhall Glacier and the ecosystem that surrounds it. All of the guides were exceptional, but, if you can get Caden, you've got someone special.

I do NOT recommend this excursion. It starts off on a lovely lake but the river then winds through a residential area. Even if the weather would have been great it still wouldn’t have been even close to worth it. Don’t waste your time and money with this. Go get a burger and beer and explore Juneau or do literally anything else. The only good thing was our guide, Sophie.

I had a wonderful time experiencing the Mendenhall glacier from a raft. This is not the kind of activity I would usually do and it was so exciting to be on this rafting trip and experience the great weather and beautiful scenery. Jackson, our tour guide, was so warm and confident. He had the best sense of humor and kept the whole group entertained throughout our outing. This rafting trip was the highlight of my trip to Alaska so far. We saw eagles and a seal and the scenery was breathtaking-taking. Thank you Jackson for a splendid day on the river.

We booked the white water float trip through our cruise line at the last minute. Despite getting to the lake a little late due to a bus mix-up, we were greeted by very helpful and knowledgeable staff who helped us get into our wet gear. Our shoes were placed in bins and transported to our final destination. Our guide, Gavin, was very funny, and we had a great group. He even had a laminated wildlife field guide if we needed help identifying things. The rapids were fun; as others have pointed out this is not super intense, you will be going through class I and II rapids, and can choose whether or not you want to paddle (the paddlers all go into one boat). Once the rapids were over, the scenery was not that impressive. But between the jokes and wildlife spotting, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. At the end, we were treated to warm cider and an assortment of crackers and vegetables with salmon dip. There was also an option to purchase beer. Overall, a nice trip!

We had a fantastic time. Tuna was a great guide and made the trip fun for all three generations. Tuna was knowledgeable and the kids adored him. Highly recommended!

The wet gear they provided for us was old and torn. They STUFFED 10 people into an old raft that should have not had more than 8 people in it. It seemed like all the guides were like high school kids and they acted like it with their bad humor and antics. Very unprofessional. Try another business before you go with them.

We really enjoyed the excursion. This was our first time doing water rafting especially with Cristian. He was a really good tour guide and very funny. We saw bald eagles and even a seal in the water bobbing up and down. He even gave us some insights what it was like to staying in Juneau even though he only worked there in the summer. Hope to see him in Colorado when we visit.
