Great trip, well worth paying a little extra for the private trip. Able to get up close , no crowds, great personal experience - and lots of whales too!

The guys on the boat were fantastic and funny. The engage with everyone on the boat and were very informative. They knew were to go and position us in the best viewing area.

The guides were great very nice personalities. We’re good with everyone on board. The boat was great not too small but not too big just right very nice interactions with everyone.

Cons: the difficulty in finding & getting on the correct passenger bus. The name ‘Viator’ was no where to be found & we were walking up to strangers trying to figure everything out & they didn’t know either, third party. There was a location of where to wait but was confusing as so many people & buses there. Pros: we enjoyed the guides.

This was an exceptional, unforgettable, experience. Can't thank our captain and guide, TJ and Andrew, enough. It makes such a difference when it is clearly not just a job to them, and their enthusiasm was infectious even though it was the end of a long season. Both were so knowledgeable too. We saw humpbacks and orca, and a wonderful sunset. The orca was close enough to hear it make a loud noise as it breathed out! Not too close to disturb the animals though. Every question we had was patiently answered. Thank you so much!

This was by far the best tour experience we’ve ever had right from the beginning. Our driver Eli was prompt, courteous, kind, very knowledgeable and helpful. Our captain TJ and naturalist Andrew were all of those things as well. Both are very well informed and 100% the reason our tour was so successful. Both were also kind and generous with their information and knowledge. They were easy to talk with and genuinely loved what they were doing. You could see the passion they had for their jobs and eager to pass that excitement on to the passengers. Juneau Whale tours made the booking process easy and were very accommodating. I rarely write reviews, but feel strongly about how well this company made everything go smoothly. The tour is a small tour of 20 people that kept things personal and not get lost in the crowd.

Captain TJ and Andrew were the best guides! I loved that it was a small group which allowed everyone an opportunity to see the whales, it made for more of a personal experience. The inside of the boat was heated which was wonderful because it does get chilly outside. Their energy and knowledge made it an unforgettable experience. We took the chance and booked outside the cruise line and did not regret it.

This is a great experience and the price is competitive. TJ and Andrew are great captains, hosts and educators with a sixth sense of where to see whales, orcas and lots of other wildlife in Juneau waters. Very experienced. The boat is small but roomy enough. And, best of all, it has a walkway that goes around the perimeter so you can get up and walk around to shoot pix or just observe. Much prefer it to the boats we saw with dozens of people crowded on the bow or stern platforms. Thanks for a cool trip, guys. Meet them right next to the tramway.

Captain Allan and First Mate Tamara were absolutely amazing and made this adventure this best one of our vacation. What an amazing day we had on the water. Captain Allan even alerted us to a full humpback breach just in time for us all to take in the experience. 10 out of 10 adventure with these guys.
