We got a stunning view of a mother and her calf as well as the Flame, most famous whale in Juneau. We could not recommend this tour enough. The captain and the naturalist were knowledgeable, fun and conscientious. Go with JWT, you won’t be disappointed.
I highly recommend Juneau Whale Tours. The small boat allowed all 20 passengers to stand around the sides of the boat to get excellent pictures of the whales. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and provided interesting information on the town of Juneau and about whales. We saw numerous whales at the feeding grounds, along with several eagles. Be sure to have rain gear handy. This was a highlight of our Alaska trip.
Chad navigated the road like a legend. Andrew despite being a former sales guy was an encyclopedia of whale knowledge. TJ delivered us back with all our fingers toes and required appendages. The bald eagles were showing off in the harbor. We saw several humpback whales showing us their tails, and rolling through the kelp field. The sea lions on the buoy were a special treat! We left feeling as though it was a private show just for us! Would definitely recommend this tour if traveling to Juneau!
TJ and Andrew made this trip so much fun for our family of twelve people. They were entertaining and informative, making it one of the best whale watching experiences we’ve ever had. The sighting was amazing, we saw about 5 whales and we also got to see some sea lions lounging on a buoy. Allen made our bus trip to and from very enjoyable. All three guys made our experience so memorable.

Smaller company, did not have to cram on to an overcrowded boat either!!! From pick up with our driver Cedar to our fun captain TJ and Andrew our naturalist we were in great hands! They were fantastic and we had the rare treat of seeing whales breach and young calves having a blast playing. We will be back and find these guys again!!! Loved our excursion.
We booked this directly at the port after docking with our cruise ship. Kayzeah was our first interaction and she was amazing. Not obnoxious like the rest and personally walked us to the bus leaving immediately. Our driver Allen was friendly and personable. And then there was TJ and Andrew on our small, intimate boat. These guys were incredible! Highly recommend. Glad we trusted our gut with this company.
Ask to join Andrew & TJ on this small and well equipped whale watcher. They were both fun, entertaining and knowledgeable and found us plenty of whale activity. Would go again!
We absolutely loved this tour. Our bus driver, Fred, is a Southern gentleman who provided funny and informative dialogue both to and from Auke Bay. We saw LOTS of bald eagles from the bus. On the boat, Gwen, Morgan and James did a stellar job of teaching us how to spot whales. We saw six whales and Morgan was able to identify each one by its tale. They picked us up and delivered us back to the port on time as well.
Great tour and guides. Amazing wildlife.
