Lily was a great tour guide. In addition to sampling a wide array of pintxos and different kinds of drinks, she helped us learn how to navigate pintxos bars, and how to secure an outdoor table by hovering nearby. At the end of the tour, we asked her about "San Sebastian cheesecake" which we had heard about during a food and wine tour in Lisbon earlier in the trip, and she directed us to La Pina, and the cheesecake there was amazing. We were disappointed that we did not visit Bar Txepetxa on the tour (it was listed on the itinerary), but were told that they regularly vary the itinerary, and the tour did include anchovy pinxtos at another bar .. and we were able to visit Bar Txepetxa (which had 11 different anchovy pinxtos) the next night.

Hector is a superb guide, extremely knowledgeable and professional. The places we went didn’t really look special from the outside or even inside, until I tried their menu. It was truly a local’s recommendation because Hector knew exactly what to order in each place. There was a good amount of information about the history of the city and the restaurants. Highly recommend for anyone traveling solo or as a couple.

Héctor was a wonderful guide! His knowledge of the history was excellent. He was very hospitable, making all in our group feel comfortable and welcome. We only had 5 in our group which also made it quite nice! Thank you, Hector!

Gonzalo was a great guide and the bars, food and beverages were all different and tasty! (We had friends that did the same tour two days previous, but we went to very different locations - it may not be the same tour each outing)

Our guide Gorko was great. We did the tour on our first evening in SS and it was the right call. Not only the chance to visit some classic venues but also some lesser known the food was amazing, the drinks were wonderful and the 3 hours flew by. Most importantly, as visitors to SS, we learned what is ok and what isn’t. Great tour

This was a perfect way to start a short holiday in San Sebastián. From an easy meeting point, the tour meanders the beautiful streets of the old town, stopping at a well-curated set of bars that provided us with the perfect introduction to the pintxos culture. The pintxos were exquisite from mussels in a spiced tomato sauce, via unique patatas bravas, to wonderful squid ink croquettas ending with the “true Basque cheescake” (La Vina Cheesecake - look it up!). All were washed down with local cider (poured correctly from height to aerate), sparkling wine, rioja and a sherry. The real joy was to do this while learning about the history of Donostia and the proud Basque culture. We had the most wonderful guide (Gorka) whose fluency, eloquence, knowledge and humour cemented the success of the tour. I am sure all the guides are great, but Gorka was outstanding.

The guide was fun, informative, knowledgeable and well paced. The selection of Pintxos restaurants was fantastic as well as the food, cider and wine variety. The tour was well organized and the food was excellent plentiful.
