Good your, like that it starts at castle and goes down. Guide was full of knowledge but it was a little weird that he was not Scottish.

Ben is excellent guide, very knowledgeable and pleasant person.

Ben gave a great tour. He made a point to identify spots that the group voiced interest in. He made it a fun experience even in the rain.

Make sure you wear good shoes and be prepared for inclement weather. Do a little research in advance so that you can ask good questions as you take in the sights. St. Giles and the Thistle Chapple are must sees.

Our guide, Ben, was fantastic. We spent about 90 minutes at the Castle, then another 2-1/2 hours walking down the Royal Mile. The final hour was spent on our own at Holyrood. The tour was well-paced and Ben was a font of information. He clearly enjoys his job and his city. By the time we finished, I felt like I truly knew Edinburgh and its history. We had a few in the group who had some mobility issues, and Ben was very patient and attentive to their needs....after all, you're on your feet for five hours! We welcomed the break we took at the palace cafe before entering Holyrood itself. To return to our hotel, it took about 15 minutes to hail a cab on the street. We weren't able to access cell service to use Uber. I highly recommend this tour and Ben in particular.

One of the highlights of our trip to Scotland! Edinburgh Castle, the Royal Mile, and Holyrood Palace were incredible, and our guide really brought the city’s history to life. I especially loved seeing the places connected to Mary, Queen of Scots. The history, centuries-old buildings, and beautiful views made Edinburgh unforgettable. Even more special because I got to experience it with my dad. Highly recommend!
