a fantastic experience highly recommended for enthusiasts and non-enthusiasts alike. The reproductions of the machines designed by Leonardo allow visitors to understand the genius of the inventor while having fun and playing with the prototypes.
We spent over 90 minutes inside before getting to the gift shop. My 6-year old loved it and had so much fun.
We were so pleased to have this opportunity to learn so much more about this incredible human being, what couldn’t he do!
As I said before, this was a very interesting overview of da Vinci’s many fascinating inventions.
Leonardo’s genius came through. I learned how much of present day anatomy, applied physics, hydraulics, and engineering is based on his work. It balanced his history as an artist with all of his other accomplishments.
Ideal for science lovers and interactive craftwork to use Leonardo's inventions. Good for kids and families. Better have tickets in advance.
To be honest, it was booked at my friend's request, but in three days of visiting Florence, it was one of the most surprising places overall. Beautiful, organized, enjoyable for both adults and children with numerous hands-on activities for everyone, practical workshops, culturally interesting with explanations and displays. Highly recommended.
We found this to be very kid friendly although we were not traveling with children. We really didn’t care for the audio because it didn’t really sync with the rooms/artifacts, except for the portrait area. In our case (no kids) we should have considered the other Leonardo Museum around the corner.
Because of a change in our schedule we were unable to attend as planned. Small uncrowded museum that did not require advance ticket purchase. Lesson learned
Small museum very nice, to do with children. They can touch anything and operate all machines and inventions. It’s very interesting to see everything Leonardo has invented
